Dante was far more relaxed strolling across the dark world that was hell, the best part about hell was the deceased destination. The first place you arrive in hell, that dark Abyss some people like to call limbo, that's the deceased destination, Dante loved the silence, the sounds were so ambient, the gentle wind, the faint sounds of fearful souls trying to return, sure it was a mortifying scene but something about it made Dante feel okay, he always strolled through here after all hell is so flooded no one really uses it anymore, but another reason Dante comes across here is because a good friend of his stayed in deceased destination. Ryan grimace also know as the grim reaper, the ultimate loose soul retriever and almost everyone's worst nightmare, the reason Dante and Ryan were such good friends was they're possession was similar in a way, only Ryan never really did much with it besides use it as a warp for each world. Dante walked around the twisted trees decorated with screeching crows, he would spin around them when he was little, it had been ages since Dante thought about himself young, genuinely because his past was never pleasant, he rubbed the trees like a mother rubs their child's face. Dante wanted to see all the things engraved into the trees, people would write their loved ones names down and stories about their lives into the trees so at least they wouldn't be forgotten forever, most of the stories were carved with a rock or something sharp, "you know, you use to love these stories when you were little." Ryan walked out of an old Crooked house that creaked with every step he took until he was out on the front porch, "how's it been old man?" Dante smiled as he walked over to his porch and leaned on the *fence*, "well no one uses the forest anymore, so it's been peaceful, lonely but peaceful." Ryan had a genuine smile on his face. Dante climbed up the porch and sat next to Ryan, Dante loved Ryan to such a great extent, he's the only person linked to his family he has left, "you know, you're eyes are just like your mothers." The old man's eyes squinted and looked directly in to Dante's eyes, "well I guess I wouldn't know, time makes you forgetful remember." Dante looked up at the sky, the holes in the porch roof had small lights shining through. Ryan taught Dante everything from it not being a sin to vanquish sinful demons but not nephilims or Angels unless the angel has committed a drastic sin and doesn't confess it. Ryan also taught him about the life cycle if you died on earth you'd go to heaven or hell based on your actions, after that if you die in heaven or hell you are reborn into earth again but you forget all your memories and inevitably become a new person, he lived with Ryan since he was little, "ah Dante please go fetch me a blanket from upstairs."
"You lazy old man." Dante smiled and walked into the house but none of the lights were on, then again Dante didn't even think the lights worked here, he walked up the stairs looking at all the photos of them together that hung on the wall, ones of him training cooking, sleeping and others of holidays like Christmas and Halloween, it was odd and quite rare for people to celebrate things like Christmas in hell but back when Ryan was still alive he loved celebrating these things with his family, all these distant memories sat in Dante's head, he thought quite often thought about them but his mind cleared quickly as a peculiar rustling submerged from within Ryan's room, Dante raised his gun out Galway out of his holster, he slowly reached towards the frame of the door. Dante swung himself around the corner and shot multiple bullets around the room, the bullets made cracking noises as they broke through the old rotting wood, standing in front of Dante was a tall black figure scrambling through Ryan's draws, Dante ran towards him, pivoted his foot and swung his foot into the figures head, the creatures body went slamming through the wall Dante had shot multiple times. Dante followed behind him jumping through the gaping hole and off the porch roof, Dante proceeded to summon his scythe, he gripped it tight and swinging his body to the side all while in the process of firing bullets at the creature trying to shamble to his feet. Dante paused his aggressive attack and watched the creature stand up laughing, "well, well, well Dante, someone has become quite the demon hunter!" The shadow began to drain off the figure to show a man with slicked back black hair and a long moustache that curled, he had clean green eyes and had a long body with not that much bulk on it. Dante knew who he was, the third member of the sinful 6. Jack snow, "what do you want here Jack?" Ryan's voice echoed through the trees, "now, now Ryan, we both know I'm here for, I want the death game ticket."
"Well piss off because you won't find them here!", Dante almost laughed at what Ryan said but he had to keep his composure after all this man could kill the both of them with ease, "I get it Ryan you're keeping the tickets for your young sport over here." An arrogant smile broke through his lips, "well then sport how about you and I play a game?"
If there was one thing Dante couldn't resist, it was a game were the odds weren't in his favour, "let's have a good 'ol fight, that fist in fist kind of game.", Jack raised his hands and pulled off his gloves, "here's the fun part though, if I win your gramps over there gives me the death tickets games but if you win I'll tell you about your little ashen hair friend. Dante's stomach sank, so much had happened in the past few days she completely slipped off his mind, was that normal for it to happen, Dante's mind branched off into thousands of thoughts but the loud frustration inside of his skull went silent as Jack spoke, "so how about it sport?"
"Alright then, seems fair enough.", Dante acted as if he was composed but his mind was bursting with confusion, his necked cracked on both sides and he unbuckled his guns holster and removed his jacket, he dropped them on the floor and took one step closer towards Jack. He grinned and observed Dante, "And so it begins."
