Dante walked back over to the shed to drop off the shovel, as he turned around he noticed a cellar door that stuck out the back of Ryan's house it slanted at an angle and the doors were rusted up but Dante's suspicion was far too high not to check the cellar, he gripped the key and slipped it into the lock, but it wouldn't turn, he sighed stood back and slammed his foot down on the lock, causing the doors to break apart and swing open. Dante hurried back inside to fetch a flashlight, he dug through the draws until he eventually found one sitting inside a cupboard, it was covered in cobwebs and needed a few jolts before Dante got it to work. He proceeded back to the cellar. The flash light flickered on and off as Dante climbed down the stairs, he shun the light across the entire room revealing unusual items and old furniture, a gust of wind blew slamming the door shut, as the wind settled the candles around the room were set alight and emitted a pale and gloomy light around the room, cursed objects and coffins were neatly packed around the room, in the back of the room lied a large cupboard engraved with art works and scriptures, it was obvious to Dante that the key was going unlock whatever was in there. The key slipped in smoothly and as he turned it the cupboard began cranking down as each secured lock detached form one another, a creaking sound erupted as the doors slowly opened, inside the cupboard laid Ryan's old possessions, a neat and tidy red cushioned cupboard with 4 items from the old Eden hanging inside. Ryan's jacket long, black with hand sewed writing inside the sleeves, Dante was much bigger than Ryan so the long jacket that use to gape over Ryan's head covering his entire body, merely fitted Dante like glove then there was his scythe, it was thin and inky black, Dante reached over and picked it up, the wind picked up and the candles began to flutter back and forward nearly blowing out, "oi you, you're the one who needs to sign the contract right?"
Dante's foot swung backward stopping before hitting the short little red creature with horns sitting on a shelf, he had careless look on his face not bothering to make eye contact with Dante, "the hell are you?"
The creature continued to look down at his clipboard, "alright look I don't have all day for this." He rolled his eyes and looked at Dante, "I just need you to sign this legal rights and I'm off."
"Legal rights?"
He sighed in a sarcastic manner, "the rights for you to take ownership of the deceased Ryan grim's scythe, allowing it to bind to your soul yada yada yada, you know the rest." He rolled his eyes and push out the clipboard. Dante grabbed the pen and began signing page, after page, "All done, enjoy your day and thank you for using soul.co" the small man disappeared into thin air, Dante's hand started to burn and a marking began to engrave into his wrist, Latin writing burnt into his skin. Dante went back to the cupboard to see a box, it had no lock or any other means of opening it, it only had a thin line that slid completely around the wooden box, as Dante picked it up, the box began make odd noises and the top swung open, inside laid a ticket covered in black skulls filled with golden eyes, their humorous smiles and laugh filled the page with big words covering the front of the ticket, "Death Games!" Was written in gold with black spirals spiralling around the letters, the back of the ticket was black except for white writing that had an address. The last object laid in the cupboard, a mask finely carved and painted, the mask was painted with black patterns and teeth were carved into a smile, a cross was painted into the medal of the masks forehead. Dante flipped around, the mask was empty expect for the words deaths painted inside, he pressed it against his face and pulled the band over the back of his head, it held against him tight, he looked into a the mirror and he took a moment to examine how cool he felt and looked, he swung the mask off and stuffed it into a duffel bag on the floor along with the rest of Ryan's stuff, "now what the hell are is death games?" He spoke to himself hoping someone would reply, but it was silent.
