"What we're moving?!?"
Those were the first words that came out of my mouth when I found out that my mom and I were moving going to move.
"Yes we are, I got a better job at one of the hospitals in Florida... Are you angry Tana?" Mom softly replied.
"No I'm not angry,I'm so happy for you! And I'm happy that we'll be moving! Oh, this is going to be so much fun!" I jumped into my Moms arms as we spun around giggling together.

I was 10 when I got the news that my Mom and I were moving to Florida. At first when I thought about Florida I was mostly excited about making friends, because when I lived back in California I never had any friends. Instead, I would get bullied by every kid in the school. They would call me different names every day, such as, stupid, pig, bowling pin ,spick etc. Until they found a nickname that stuck with me like a magnet, it was Peasant. Although, it doesn't sound like a nickname that would hurt much, what hurt the most was how they would treat me like one.
I remember in 2nd grade (when the nickname "Peasant" started) I bumped into a boy, which caused him to dropped his stuff. He yelled, "Hey Peasant pick up my stuff." Since I was shy and quite I was too scared to defend myself, so I did what I was told as I got humiliated. This continued until 5th grade, but when we moved to Florida I knew the nickname "Peasant" would just be a word that never had any interest in me.

Moving into our new house was the best! The welcoming sent of our new home brought warmth In my heart. It was a two story house with four bathrooms, 8 rooms, and a pool in the back! Even though there was only two of us, we could still make the house look lively. Once we got settled I asked Mom if I could go outside and play, as I was playing outside I saw a boy about the same age at me staring at me with curiosity in his eyes. I stared back at him and examined his appearance he had chocolate brown hair, light brown eyes that glistened like diamonds, a blue sweatshirt on, and blue jeans. I gave him a shy smile and he smiled back. I don't know why I did this but I decided to walk over to him.
I remember thinking, 'Wait why am I walking towards him? I don't even know him."
As I was walking towards him he didn't seem to move or step back he stood there waiting for me. When I arrived at what I think was his house that he was in front of I said with my quite voice, "Hi" and he replied with the same and simple, "Hi".

And that is how our friendship
began.
