Ocean
We met under harsh circumstances. I was twenty two, in my senior year of business school when I met him and our world collided like glass and lead. It was a cold morning I remember and it was three forty six am. My phone went off and I knew that Jessa my roommate needed a ride from where ever party she attended the night before. Its only been two years since she moved in with me and Heather my mentor moved out leaving this place with me. I'd originally wanted to live alone but the universe forced my hand by literally dropping her on my door step. And two years later I was still saving her.
Getting up I just pulled up my hair shoved my feet into a pair of flipflops and walked out the door yawning on the way jingling my keys lowly. My older little car wasn't much but I worked for it and he was all mine. I knew where the party was, she had gone childish on me and attended a high school party. Apparently one of her many underlings during her golden years of high school had invited her out and Jessa jumped at the chance for cheap beer and sweaty grinding on a stranger. Pulling down a familiar suburban street I looked around and I knew exactly where I was. Golden boy Roger Grammer used to live on this street.
I'd only been invited to one party my entire high school career and it was the senior party here on this street. I remembered the trashed streets, teepee houses, passed out kids and a golf cart stuck in Mr Kelimps prize oak tree the morning after. Most of my class couldn't recall the events that transpired but I recalled them all in stunning alcohol free HD. Arriving at the only house with a solo cup filled yard I exited my vehicle and went to find my roommate.
Little did I know I would recall this night with perfect clarity for the rest of my life.
