Harry Jacons
Alarms.
The bane of any college girls existence. I was having such a good dream too, and he smelled so good. Opening my eyes I was stunned to see I was cuddled up next to the kid who invaded my bed last night. His arms were wrapped around my waist almost possessive like and his jean covered leg was thrown over me.
In little terms I was trapped.
Pulling away was futile because he only tightened his grip. I huffed and looked at the time. I still had two hours before my class began but I had chores and other such tasks to accomplish today. I knew what I had to do though. Stretching over I grabbed my phone from its place on the charging pad. Cringing at the song I covered my ears before cranking up the volume and hitting play.
The chorus to the song Barbie Girl blasted over not only my phone but the wireless speakers that were around my room successfully scaring awake my captor who released me and promptly fell off the bed. I snorted and hushed my hidden addiction. Yes I was in love with barbie. I got my first doll and movie at age four and I've been stuck ever since. "What the hell?" The guy groaned. I peaked over the side of my bed to see him twisted up at an odd angle. His head was flat on the floor his hips twisted to the left and his arms were spread eagle on my carpet.
"Serves you right." I said getting up and walking out of my room. I was late. Opening the fridge I sighed and grabbed a cold vanilla starbucks coffee that was in a glass bottle. I went to the laundry room and threw my clothes into the washer before putting in all the necessary stuff and hitting the start button. I made sure to spray and wash my beer covered shirt from last night before putting it in as well. Dishes were left in the sink, the coffee table was covered in cans and food stuff. The carpets weren't clean either. I shivered in disgust at the thoughts of mold and what was living in my carpet at the moment.
I wasn't a neat freak but they had to be semi clean at ALL times. Running around cleaning up and then came out the demon machine. Jessa has begged me every time she stays out late to not vacuum but I cant handle it being dirty. Flipping it on I heard two things the whirl of the dirt cleaning suction and two audible thumps from down the hall. Two doors opening and three figures groaning holding their heads appeared. I finished with the living room before shutting off the vacuum and hitting the button for the cord winder.
"Aspirin." Jessa said weakly from her place on the couch. Harry was face down on the bar letting the cold granite help his head. My bed partner was hiding his face in a pillow on the love seat. Oh joy to the hung over mornings. I went and rounded up three glasses of water and two aspirin for each. Each downed them and groaned. "Oce the window pleaseee." Jessa said motioning to the opened curtains. "Jess you really need to stop this." I said closing the curtains closing off the morning rays of light. I did have pity on her, I wasn't much different my freshman year. If it wasn't for Heather a few years ago I probably would of been raped or passed out in a back ally somewhere completely defenseless. But the novelty of drunken idiots and mindless grinding on sweaty bodies with some random guys hands on intimate parts of your body really didn't appeal anymore.
I did drink with some friends every now and then and I had some dates but it wasn't what got me though the week like Jess or even my best friend Kimmy. They lived for the party and the explosion of stars they found during it. Living in that haze wasn't me I was too responsible.
"Who are you?" The guy on the love seat asked. "Ocean and I'm the girl who saved your ass last night from having to go home."
"Ocean. That's pretty suits you." He said throwing a smirk my way but he cringed after it.
"Down player boy. I'm too old for you sweetheart." "You cant be that old."
"Twenty two." I said crossing my arms and narrowing my eyes at this kid.
"Seventeen. Your still hot for someone over age."
"And your too hung over to realize that I'm not interested in a child."
"Who's a child? I'm a man babycakes." I snorted at his hurt and defensive expression. Walking over to him I leaned down and hovered over his lips. His breath caught. "Not from what I've seen honey. A man wouldn't act hung over he would act like it wouldn't affect them. You aren't a man yet. Keep your youth while you have it." I said slowly retreating.
"You smell good too." He said and I saw his eyes closed. I nearly growled at him. I went to strip my bed and I heard the buzz of the washer and the triple threat of groans. Walking out with my bedding Jessa looked up. "Why are you washing your bed stuff. It hasn't been two weeks yet?" "Because he, I said pointing to the man boy, "slept in my bed and I cant stand the germs that I can just feel on them."
Jessa shot up and gasped at the guy. "YOU DID WHAT." All of them cringed but Jessa still went after it. "I'm not even allowed in her room. How did THAT happen." "He followed me and laid down refusing to move. I was tired so he slept in there." Switching out my clothes with my bedding and my clothes to the dryer I ran them both before tackling the dishes. It was clean again.
I sighed in relief feeling less like a homeless person and more like the well put together Ocean I was.
