Lena's eyes flickered between the choices from open or closed and most of the time, they stayed closed. It was until she re-opened her eyes and saw herself in a queen size bed, blanketed under a red silk blanket. She ripped the blanket off and stood up, only to see her reflection from an enormous black framed mirror. She was completely naked. She blinked her eyes quickly, trying not to believe what she was staring at. . What the fuck am l doing naked? Oh god, l'm gonna be raped by some terrible old men with hillbilly country accents and pitchforks. Where the fuck am l? Oh Lord please help me. She looked down and saw her leg heavily wrapped with black bandages. When did they start making black bandages? Wicked, but still freaking weird. She suddenly heard a soft knock at the closed wooden door. "Hey. Are you awake?" The voice belonged to a girl. She was scared to answer so she decided to look through the door's keyhole. When she looked out, she saw a body from the chest down. From what she could see, she was in all black including a zipped up jacket, either singlet or tee and skinny jeans. She had a hint of dark red in her outfit, which came from her converse sneakers. Nice outfit. Maybe she's cute, but maybe her body and, uh, other places are the only attractive parts of this girl. Maybe she's got a hideous face and... "If you could ever be so polite to stop staring at either what l'm wearing or at my lower regions, it would be a nice idea." She fell back, completely freaked out by the fact she knew she was staring. "Now, may l re-ask? Are you awake? And please respond this time." She took a few deep breaths and then sighed. She hated speaking to others, especially those she didn't know. I barely talk to my family, and l'm supposed to speak to this guy? She suddenly realised that she was probably the only one who knew where her clothes were. "Uh, yeah, l'm awake. Do you know where my clothes are? I sorta need them." She heard her chuckle softly before she said, "Good to hear you're awake and yes l know where your clothes are. They're in the rubbish because those tattered clothes couldn't be re-worn, even if you made them look brand new. If you want something to wear, go through the cupboard next to the mirror and open it. There's heaps of clothes that you can wear. But, l say right now that there aren't any of those bright, girly colours. There's black, white and red. Pick your poison. When you're done, come out of the room. I left it unlocked. Also, none of us here will rape or murder you. We aren't from any hillbilly country. And, we aren't cannibals, we don't bite. Not that l'm saying that's what you're thinking. Hurry down soon." How did she know that l was thinking that? was crazily running through her mind.

As soon as she heard the mysterious footsteps step away from the door and off into the distance, she slowly walked to the cupboard near the mirror. It was also made of black wood. She turned the knob and open the wide doors to reveal the biggest closet she had ever seen. There were dresses and boots and jeans and jackets, leather dusters and tees and sneakers and accessories taking up all the space of the closet. She was unsure of what to pick. She decided to grab a black singlet, black skinny jeans and black converse sneakers with dark red covering the white parts of the shoes, even the laces. When she dressed, she slowly left the room and went downstairs, as the girl had instructed. She couldn't see anyone downstairs. "Hello, anyone here?" Fuck, it's a trick to get me out in the open so l can be taken down. God dammit. Wait, is that a door? She saw a door right ahead and decided to walk towards it. But, when she reached halfway, she felt a cold hand on her arm and as it twisted her around, she came face to face with many faces.

All the faces were pale and all had deep, blood red eyes except for three of those faces. Two of those eyes were fully black and the other eyes didn't have colour. All she saw were small black irises, no blue or green or even red. Just black. Then she noticed that the male with the full black eyes was slowly walking towards her, his long black cape flowing like the summer wind behind him, "Now listen child. Do not leave. If you just simply walk away, you will only be walking your last steps, trust me. Do you understand me?" She wanted say no, but she felt herself nodding, as if she wanted to agree to whatever he was saying. All she could see was the black irises of the girl. They scared and intrigued her at the same time. Then she noticed the full black eyed female gracefully step closer to her. Her gaze on the girl was gone and was now on the elegant woman. She wore a white gown made from pure silk, accompanied by a flowing white cape, also made from silk. She was barefoot and her long, raven hair was tied into a half up, half down ponytail. The hair left down was brushed in front of her. It was as straight as a fine needle, so fragile yet still beautiful. "Child, l understand that you're frightened of this place. It's normal to be scared, but l guarantee you being frightened here is better than being dead out there. Cody," pointing to the young lady with the black irises, "can fix you something to eat and then maybe you could stay here for a few days, just until the outside is safe again. And, if it weren't for Ty here," she pointed to another young looking man with spiky hair and bright green streaks and deep red eyes, "you'd surely be a goner. Craven would have loved to drink all that O positive blood flowing freely through your veins." How the hell does she know what my blood type is? Her voice began to tremble, as if saying something in that sentence had turned an emotion on for her and out of nowhere, her eye colour began to change. They became a dark red, similarly coloured to that of fresh blood. Then, her lips started to part away from each other and before she could fully part her lips, the girl with the black irises stood forward. "I'll take her to fetch your meals for the day. That way she's out of the house and away from you and them, milady." He was referring to the red eyed people standing behind the elegant woman and the quiet man. They were all staring at her, their eyes never leaving her for a sec, not even to blink. The woman in white moved her gaze from Lena to Cody. She finally closed her lips and her eyes returned back to the black they were. Lena wanted to know why the woman's eyes changed and why she parted her lips. What the hell is going on with that lady?
