Chapter 1: The Invitation

Error sat in the empty white void, staring at nothing. He hugged his knees, ignoring the voices pestering him.

Error jumped at the sound of a portal opening. To his surprise, Blue had returned.

"HELLO, ERROR!" Blue shouted, making Error flinch.

"Blue?" Error asked in surprise. "What are you doing here.. and... how did you open a portal?"

"WELL, I MET THIS COLORFUL VERSION OF MYSELF," The smol Blueberry explained. "HE TAUGHT ME HOW TO OPEN PORTALS!"

"Right," Error muttered.

"ANYWAY, YOU'RE INVITED TO MY PARTY!"

"Why are you having a party?"

"BECAUSE PARTIES ARE FUN!! I'M INVITING ALL OF THE OTHER MES!!"

Error's eyes narrowed. "All of them?"

"YES! WHY?"

Error shifted uncomfortably. "Oh.. um.. just asking."

"OH. OKAY!!"

"Blue.. when is the party?"

"TOMORROW!! OKAY, BYE!!" Blue opened the portal and jumped out.

"Great. Just great," Error growled. "I'm going to be surrounded by filThY gLiTcHes."

You could just.. not go. A voice suggested.

Yeah!

"I don't want to let Blue down, though," Error sighed. He opened a portal, jumping through. His grin widened when he realized that he had landed in Outertale.

He sometimes enjoyed looking up at the bright, twinkling stars. It just comforted him for some reason.

Error forgot all of his worries, all of his troubles, and just relaxed. For a moment, he forgot who he really was: someone who destroyed Universes- destroyed lives.

After a while, Error opened a portal back to the white void he called home. Jumping in, Error let out another long sigh.

He would have to be around them.
