falling out of love

Sugawara Koushi could never seem to ease his fluttering heart whenever he was around her.

His cheeks flushed a cherry red and his hands began to tremble.

He was so in love with this girl, so in love with the idea of this girl.

Sugawara was so nervous whenever he was around the beauty, he just couldn't help it. She was everything he ever wanted in a significant other.

His eyes lit up whenever he was around her and she was the same.

The two would sneak glances at each other in the middle of class, fantasising about walking together through the cherry blossoms outside of Aoba Josai.

She wished she had the courage to confess to him and he wished he had the courage to confess to her.

Whenever she gave him a peck on the cheek, Sugawara could feel his heart race so fast he thought it would fly right out of his chest.

Soon the two grew more comfortable around each other, their heart beats lessening in speed and began to lose sync with one another.

The butterflies in their tummies soon ceased, the same with their trembles.

The excitement that was shared between them was gone, too. The glances were no longer shared and the fantasising was no more.

Sugawara was so in love with her, he was sure they were soulmates. He soon found out she had a girlfriend, and that she wouldn't give her up no matter how much she loved him.

Despite him being so sure, she fell out of love with him, Sugawara following shortly after, although his fluttering heart never ceased.
