Beep beep beep beep. I slammed my hand on my alarm. Can't I just have 10 more minutes? What day was it...Sunday. Oh! Today's my flight! I flipped my eye lids open and woke up. It was 6:30. There were still a few more hours before I dropped dad off at grandma's. I went into the bathroom to get ready. I took a long, hot shower, washed my face, brushed my teeth, and fixed my hair. I ran into the closet dripping wet to throw on some clothes. Lets see...it will probably be cold in New York when I arrive. So I put on some flare jeans and a floral top. I put in some gold hoop earrings. After I got ready, I walked to the kitchen to eat some breakfast. What to eat, what to eat. I decided that since it was going to be a busy day, I might has well have a good, balanced breakfast. I popped in a piece of toast, and got out a carton of eggs, cheese, ham, orange juice, an apple, and bacon. I reached into the cabinet and grabbed a frying pan. I put it on the stove, then turned on the burner. I microwaved the bacon for three minutes, and then got started on my omelet. I cracked open 2 eggs and mixed them around in a bowl with cheddar cheese, a dash of milk, and some ham. I poured the mixture into the frying pan. Beep. The bacon was done. I quickly got it out of the microwave and placed the plate on the counter. While the egg was cooking, I took out a plate, a glass, and a fork. I poured the O.J. into the glass. I then flipped the egg. When it was finished, I put it on the plate and took out my toast. Everything was finally ready to eat. I put all of my ingredients away, then sat down for a nice breakfast. Mm. I did an amazing job! I could taste all of the flavors in the egg, the crispness of the bacon, and the crunch of the toast. It was fantastic.
By the time I finished my meal, it was 8:00. I went to check on my dad in the living room. He was, as usual, sprawled on the couch with half of his body hanging on the floor next to a spilled bottle of bud light.
"Dad...dad! Wake up." I said.
"What do you want?!" He said harshly. I thought of a quick lie.
"In an hour, I'm going to take you to your favorite place." I said.
"Magical pony palace?" He said. He was obviously drunk.
"No...the Orlando beer festival!" I said with as much enthusiasm as I could possibly put into that sentence.
"Oh. That place is cool too." He slurred.
"So, if you want to go...you have to take a shower and get dressed" I said.
"Alright...but when I get back, tell the giant across the street I'll have to cancel the poker match."He said while stumbling over the carpet.
"Okay. I'll be sure to let him know." I said as I rolled my eyes. When my dad was drunk...he was usually a happy-stupid drunk. I guided my dad to the shower, and then left the bathroom. I went into his room to pick him out shorts and an old tee. I then double checked his suit case. When I was finished, My father came walking into the room.
"I'll...let you change." I said as I backed out of the room. When he was finished changing, I guided him with his suitcase out of the apartment, down the elevator, and into the car.
"Let me...drive..." He managed to get out.
"Uh...no. No, I got it." I said. I sat him in the passanger's seat, and then went around to the driver's seat. I backed out of the parking lot, and we were on our way.
