~Prodigy~

The room was trashed and I looked straight ahead to find blood on the wall saying "Go to Silent Hill" with a picture of a symbol that I've seen before but I just don't know where.

"Oh my God. Is that blood?" Valorie asked.

"I hope not, but it's not looking good."

"We should call the police."

"No." I said a little too calmly as I stared at this symbol on the wall.

"Why? I mean this looks like a struggle and your boys aren't here and there's a message written in blood on your wall." She was freaking out and I don't think it made her feel any better that I wasn't even though these were my friends and I should've been panicking more, but I couldn't help but feel this symbol pulling me in.

"Look we just can't alright. I need to find them without the police all on my trail. I don't think any of this is normal and I have a feeling that I don't have to sit around while the police interrogate me."

"Yeah okay." She looked down and around at the room. I sighed heavily.

"Look maybe you should go home. This is getting a little scary and dangerous."

"No way I'm not leaving."

"I mean I'm pretty sure your family is worried about you."

"My mother is so focused on her job that she doesn't know that I have a life and my father is unknown, so my family is not so worried about me. Please I want to help."

"Fine you can stay but please stay close."

"No problem there."

I feel like she smirked but I can't worry about that right how. I have to find out where my boys are.

"Go to Silent Hill? Do you know where that's at?" She asked me.

"No but I most definitely have seen that symbol somewhere before."

"Where?"

I walked over to Prince's bed and looked the side drawer. I took out a box with the symbol on top of the lid.

I opened the box and found all the little notes I used to write down at night and information about Silent Hill and something about last year there.

I also found that symbol, turned out to be a seal, that looked like there was another part missing.

"What is all of this?" Valorie asked.

"You know? I don't know." I packed up all the information and the seal, then I found a gun at the bottom. I made sure it was loaded and smiled as I cocked it.

"Yea Prince was loaded."

"A gun!?!?!? What the hell?!?!?!"

"Look! I understand that guns are bad to keep around but we may need it."

"Ok."

"I'm sorry for snapping at you."

"It's fine."

All of a sudden there was a bang at the door.

"Craig Crippen, this is the West Virginia police department! Open the door!"

"Why are the police here?" She asked. I knew why they were here. They think I had something to do with that guy's death since I was the one who's name and picture they had.

"I don't know." I replied. I didn't want to scare her.

I looked at the patio door and grabbed the folders and her hand and we ran out the back. I thank God we were on the ground floor.

"I hate to do this to you but I need you to drive." I said.

"Good I want to drive."

We got in her car and left. As we were driving, I began going through the files that Prince kept.

I looked through and saw a note addressed to to me. I opened it and began reading.

Hey Prod,

If you're reading this, then something has happen to us. I hate to say this, but you're on your own now. Don't try to find us and whatever you do don't go to Silent Hill. We promised your brother that we would keep you safe, but we failed. We know you don't what we're talking about but you do have a brother and the less you know the better. The guy that we were running from a couple months ago, in Florida, wasn't a random thief. He was a member of the Order of Valtiel and these people want you, they need you. We don't know why, but they'll do everything in their power to get you back and you must resist it. We were only trying to protect you and we never meant to lie to you, but we had to. You'll find the truth in a journal that I wrote of everything I know and found out. I hope when you read it you will finally find out who you really are. Please forgive us for not telling you the truth. We did it to protect you. Good luck.

We love you bro.

                     Prince.

"Wow, I guess Cartland was right. They do remember and they did keep it from me." I said as I sat the note down.

"It sounds like they did it to protect you." Valorie said as she kept her eyes on the road.

"Yea I guess."

I took out his journal and opened.

"Wow he found out a lot about this place. He must've been terrified."

"What does it say?"

"It says that Silent Hill was originally a prison colony built on ground, taken from the native Indians. They called it the place of the Silent spirits. Religious Zealots called the Order of Valtiel, secretly ran the town for the last hundred years. They were waiting for a child to be born to be used as a vessel for their god, who would then be resurrected and make the world anew. The town was cursed by the power of a demon child. His name is Johnathan. This Order tried to cleansed him with fire but they failed, and Johnathan's revenge was to summon a world of darkness filled with terrifying creatures. This one, it says, is his guardian and executioner."

"Wow ok then." Was all Valorie could say.

I pulled out a news paper article that said, "Coal fire gone out of control. The town is still burning underground."

"I don't think you should go." Valorie, spoke out of context.

"What?"

"I don't think you should go."

"I have to, those are my brothers."

"Look if this Order wants you, then they're gonna get you, if you go, so don't."

"No I have to. If it was someone you loved and cared about, I'm pretty sure you would go too."

She didn't say anything, she just kept looking straight ahead. I kept looking through Prince's stuff for what seemed like hours but it was only one hour.

"I think we should stop. Take a break, regroup." Valorie said, breaking the silence.

"What? No I want to keep going." I said, looking at her like she was crazy.

"Look! I'm tired. I need rest, you need rest. Let's just stop and regroup and we'll go in the morning."

"Fine."

We stopped at a motel and checked in. I put my stuff down and now that I think about it, I am pretty tired. I watched Valorie look out the window, then lay down.

I laid down on the other bed and stared up at the ceiling until I felt my eyes get heavy and then I fell asleep.
