Chapter 10 The Asylum

I finally made it to the end of that vent and found myself at Brookhaven Asylum. I sighed and shook my head. I knew what I had to do but I didn't want to do it.

If there's anything I know about asylums, it's that, they are more haunted then a damn house and that's a fact. 

I walked up the stairs to the asylum and walked in. I turned on my phone flashlight and looked around.

I walked over to the front desk and began to look through the files they had there to find out where Leonard was. I found it and it said he was in room S-12. 

I grabbed the key to his room, then I heard noises. I looked over from where they were coming from and where I normally wouldn't have walked towards the noise, it was unfortunately in the direction that I needed to go to get to Leonard's room.  

I just walked slowly through the hall and everything seemed ok but then again I spoke too soon because someone attacked me.

He didn't have a face but he had a mouth. I took out the gun I found and shot him in his mouth. He fell on top of me and I pushed him off and got up. I hate this shit. 

I continued to walk and eventually I found the room. I opened the door and went in. The door closed behind me and I began to look around and found that no one was there.

I then heard chains and saw someone come running up to me but he got pulled back by the chains. I smirked to myself. 

"Did Claudia send you?" He asked me. 

"Who is Claudia?" I replied with a question. 

"My own daughter put me here. She says that I'm a monster. That I've been corrupted. Really it's her that's been corrupted."

"Valorie told me that you could help me with something." 

"Valorie! That little traitor! She's the one that turned me in! If you're quiet you'll be able to hear the cries of her torment." 

"She's here?" 

"Where else could you go to get your head cleansed?" 

"I have one half of this. Will it help me?" I asked as I held the seal in my hand. 

"Child I am blind. I cannot see what it is you have there. Place it in my hand and I will see if I can help you."  

I slowly handed him the seal, while keeping the gun pointed at him. He took the seal and felt it. He laughed. 

"You know what this is?" 

"Its the seal of Metatron."

"Are you sure?"

"I was the master of The Order. I think I know about the seal that I created. Ahh, this was stolen from me and was used to help those boys escape. Without it the god cannot be summoned." 

"What is it for?" 

"Its a key that unlocks the true nature of things." 

"Do you have the other half?" 

"I do."

"Where?"

"The other half is inside of me!" He yelled as he shoved the seal inside of him. 

"Stop! What are you doing?!?!?!"

I backed up because I didn't know what the hell was happening but it was getting real ugly up here.

He started turning into this big ugly monster. I tried shooting him because of course, the door disappeared. If you want me to die just say that. I kept shooting, but he wasn't going down.

Instead he broke off the chain and came over to me, then threw me through the non existing door. How he just made a door appear out of nowhere with my rag doll body is beyond me.

He walked over to me and picked me up, then began walking. I don't know where he was going but he was going.

I looked down on the ground and saw heads that were still alive. I freaked out about that, then I looked in Leonard's stomach and saw the seal. Now I really believe he should've thought about this because I reached into his stomach and pulled the seal out. 

He dropped me and began to yell, then he just dissolved. I did a sigh of relief because I thought that was it right there but I'm still alive. I looked at the seal and studied it for a minute. 

"Two halves coming together as one. The seal is complete." I said to myself. 

I began to hear voices again. I looked around and no one was there but I'm pretty sure he knew. 

"You know don't you Johnathan? You know that I have the seal of Metatron." 

I heard loud scrapping, so I followed it and found myself getting grabbed by people. I shook them off and got down. 

"This is some straight bullshit!" I yelled as I looked up. 

The scrapping got closer and I saw his guardian coming from around the corner. He swung the giant knife and started cutting off their arms.

I got up and ran off into this small opening, while he was chopping. I watched him for a minute, then I looked behind me and saw that there were veins hanging everywhere. I swear I'm gonna be sick. 

I walked until I hear walking and noises coming from behind me. I hid and watched as they wheeled Valorie on a stretcher. She looked terrified and she was begging for mercy.

Well I can't leave her here. I followed them, quietly to an operating room. There were nurses with no faces and the move like zombies but I think they react to sound. 

The nurses moved closer to them, the more noise they made. One nurse stabbed one guy and he turned around and shocked her.

She dropped, but then he turned around and got stabbed in the eye. That was some crazy shit. The other dude killed her but then they all ganged up on him and stabbed him repeatedly until he stopped making noise. 

Valorie looked around with the same terrified look on her face. She began to jiggle the straps just to see if she could get out but that just made more noise, which attracted the nurses.

They all turned their attention toward Valorie, so she stopped and looked at them. She tried again and the nurses continued to turn to her and get a little closer. 

I quietly walked in and over to the stretcher. I popped my head up and covered her mouth before she saw me and freaked out like girls do.

She looked scared, but calmed down when she saw it was me. I took my hand off of her mouth and looked at her. 

"Ok I'm gonna get you out of here and you're gonna help get my boys back ok." I whispered to her. 

I saw a tear escape her eye, then she nodded. 

"Ok." She replied. 

I nodded and began working on the straps as fast as I could because I was making way too much noise and they were coming. I missed one and I couldn't get to it without getting cut so I ran to other side of Valorie and she tipped the stretcher over before the nurse could cut her.

I tried helping her get out of the last strap but it was stuck. I looked over and saw a knife. I reached for it and almost got stabbed. 

I grabbed it and cut her out of the strap, then we grabbed the stretcher and slid it back toward the door so we wouldn't get cut. We ran out the door, through the asylum and out the front door. We ran to an alley to take a break and hide, then we began to walk. 

"The darkness. It should've faded by now." Valorie said as she continued to walk. 

"Why hasn't it?" I asked. 

"Because you're so close to Johnathan. The two halves coming together is changing the world." 

"What happens next?" 

"That's up to you." 

From then on, we walked the rest of the way in silence.
