You know there's something wrong with you when you walk into a wall.
That's exactly what happens to me while I was try to "snoop" in Annabeth's room. But come on people, all of the lights are off! Just kidding. That's what would happen to a normal person. As you know, I am not normal.
The lights are on in the hall, but I trip on a stuffed bear-it looks like superman-that's astray in the hallway....and face-plant on the wall. It was quite the experience, you know. Luckily I run into Annabeth's room and grab the invisibility cap and put it on.
My instructions were clear:
•stay as quiet as possible
•look for anything that could be a clue
•to find anything: think like Annabeth
•DONT
•GET
•CAUGHT
Apparently, I can't understand some of that very well. Me? Be... quiet?! No. Just no. And "searching for clues" I'm not Scooby Doo, here! Think like Annabeth? That one makes sense.... And the Don't Get Caught stuff is the hardest of all.
Where would Annabeth hide things? Probably somewhere tricky... But that's what she'd want me to think! So it must be out in the open!
Or maybe she knew someone would think that, so she hid it?
Okay, now I'm thinking too complicated.
I begin to think. Real, real hard. Somewhere not too complex, but not too easy.... Not to hard.... And then, without even thinking, I walk over to her bureau, and open the third drawer. There were three other drawers I could have looked in. My hand reaches for a small, black, worn book, almost unseen in the dark room. Picking it up, I close the drawer and begin to tiptoe out of the room, when I hear the noise of a doorknob unlocking. Pausing at the door, I see Jason, who looks around to make sure nobody was there, then picks up the super man bear and cuddles it. It's taking everything in me not to burst out laughing then and there! Somehow, I'm not laughing. Well, I giggle a little bit but Jason just looks skeptically at his bear and asks it, "What's so funny Super Bear?" And walks back to his room having conversations with a stuffed bear.
Well, that was disturbing.
