My name is something, but no one cares enough to learn it. Even if they did, they would forget it as soon as they met Jennifer, or Jonathan, or anyone else for that matter. I'm just there.
But before you start feeling bad for me, just know that I'm happy this way. As a wallflower, I get to learn. Learn what to expect from others. I am able to tell who's going to be a bully. Who's uncomfortable in different circumstances. Some ask about other people's secrets and I can answer them, as long as it wants to be found. They just forget one question. My name.
I'm not going to deny it, my parents seriously worry about me. In their eyes, I'm a lonely girl who needs help finding friends, but I'm good on my own.
My story is a sensitive one. I wasn't socially awkward at all as a kid. I was popular, was the teachers favorite, and everyone new my name. And then my older sister, Garnet, went through some sensitive things, and she's in rehabilitation. My family moved, and I started my new life as a nobody so I didn't go through the things my sister did. Its stupid to throw away a life, but I don't, and never will regret it.
Again I assure you, I'm alone and happy. Percy Jackson is my friend, Hermione is my bestie. The Elgen is my enemy. I'm not alone.
And just in case you think you care enough to remember my name, its Waters.
