"Waters, they're here." My dad yelled up the stairs. "Please come down." I groaned quietly. "Coming." I heard the doorbell ring, and boys playfully yelling at each other. My mom opened door just as I was halfway down the stairs.
"Hello, is this the Dixon residence?" I heard Mr. Wits say. "Why yes it is. I'm Fern Dixon, and this is my husband, Ryan. And I'm sure you all have met our lovely daughter Waters." My mom said gesturing to my dad, and then to me.
"Thank you for inviting us. It has been quite an chaotic move. No moving company seems to believe that there is a such a place as Lehi, Utah."
"You wouldn't believe how many times we've heard that." My dad said. "We're like the unknown town."
I got down the stairs just as Karma gasped quietly. She saw my head jerk up as she did and glared at me. If our parents weren't two feet away, she probably would've threatened me again, but that would've been a straight path to chaos.
Bramble's stomach rumbled and my mom realized that her garlic bread was still in the oven. "Come on into the kitchen. Dinner is on the table." My dad said, following my mom into the kitchen. Griffen punched his brother in the arm, told him to stop his stomach from being rude. Karma played the part of the annoyed younger sister and told them to shut up.
I followed my father into the kitchen just in time to catch the plate my mom knocked off the counter. "Waters, thank goodness. That could've been a disaster." My mom said.
