I've never really appreciated the woods as much, like the sun set peeping through the elongate narrow trees. The lake showing of its gleaming dinky waves and various sounds I have not ever heard of before. I always remember the time when Jake and I went camping together in this same spot. We remembered where we stayed because we marked a tree it said: M&J. placing my warm hand on the engraving, brought back so many memories we had that week, which was also the first time he had stayed in the woods with me by himself. He was so startled that he started to hiccup! Fun times indeed...

"Hey the engravings, I was trying to find them!" he said also placing his hand on the engraving.

"We certainly had fun that week didn't we?"

"Yeah it was lots of fun."

We stared at each other for what felt like more than a minute.

"Anyway who's going to count first?" I asked walking towards the lake.

"I will." Jake said following me.

I looked at him with that *are you serious face.*

"What?"

"Why? Why do you want to count?" I asked placing my hands on my hips.

"No reason."

"Is it because you want to find a way to scare me?"

Jake snorted. "noooo... I just want to go first. Okay?

"okay but it will not work."

"What won't work?"

I wondered off. peering for some places to hide.

"MAL?! MALLORY?! WHATS NOT GOING TO WORK?! UGGRRRHHH!" Jake shouted at me from a distance.

"Forget it! Just start counting!" I said not bothering to turn.

where to hide. where to hide... I kept repeating to myself while stepping on the amber-ish golden leaves, with my black timberlands. Autumn wasn't my favorite time of the year. But what I do ardour most in this season is when it's cold and the warm sun is radiant and glimmering in my emerald eyes. And the outfit I'm wearing right now is my favorite outfit to wear in this time of the year: black ankle-length timberlands with white socks just about showing above the timberlands, my black dungaree skater skirt, with a black and white top and a plain black beanie.

"perfect!"

I ran towards a twisted tree that seemed quite easy to climb. I loved to climb things, you just get to see everything from a different point of view. The air was getting cooler the wind blew my beanie off my brunet bangs, but I didn't care. I closed my eyes and smelt the clear air it smelt beautiful. When I opened my eyes I saw something I had never seen before... a bridge.

"How and when did that get there?" I said slowly stepping on another branch.

SNAP

Everything went by so fast. But I did catch a branch.

"Oh my daze... that was... close." I said taking deep breaths. I looked down I wasn't so high of the ground it was about... 11.2 foot. But as I have said before Im not the best at maths.

I looked around the tree to see if there was another branch that I could reach,

"There!"

I tried swinging back and forth but that's when my hands started to slip and silp...

I fell.
