Chapter 5

Chapter 5:

Graduation Day!

I have waited so long for this day and I can't believe it is finally here. I had a cute little spring dress to where but yesterday I found the cutest most amazingest dress ever...even thought thats not a word.

The ceremony is long but nice, they call my name and I walk across the stage. I'm sad high school is over but I can't wait for the world that is ahead of me. Starting with New York City this summer. I've gotten of that TJ won't be with be but I need this summer to find out really who I am what exactly I want to do in my life and I don't need anyone to be influencing my decisions.

3 Days Later: Flying to NYC.

I fly out at 3:00 pm. I am so excited I just can't explain it. This day is the longest day on ever. TJ flew out yesterday and I was sad but in a way glad to be able to live without anyone else to worry about. I mean I miss him and I want to be with him but this is what I need. We leave at 1:30 and get to the airport around 2:15. I tell my parents goodbye and go through security. I board my flight and I have my camera in hand. I love flying and taking pictures from the plane. I get there around 7.

"Hey little sis!" Chase yells. I run up to him. "Hey big brother." "How was your flight?" he asks. "It was good. How have you been?" "Good. I'm sorry I missed your graduation." he says. "Its alright. I know you had to work." I say. "I have someone for you to meet tomorrow!" he says with a smile. "Who is that?" I ask. "Just my friend..." he says. "Is it a special lady friend?" I say laughing. "Maybe." he says. We both laugh. I have missed him so much. "Where to?" he asks. "Time Square." I say like he should know that. It is my favorite place in NYC. I really like it at night. "Of course. Are you up for a Junior's burger?" he asks. "Always!" Junior's is amazing!! We get to his truck and we drive to his parking place at his apartment. I love talking to my brother. We catch up on everything while we drive. Once we put my stuff in my room I text my parents and tell them I got there safe at that we are going to dinner.

We can walk to Times Square. I love it so much. We go eat then walk around for hours and before we know it its 1:00 am. We decide to head back. We get frozen yogurt on the way back and go up to his room and climb on the roof from his balcony to watch all the city lights. We talk and talk and then decide to go to bed at 2.

The next morning I sleep in and then get up around 9! We meet my brothers "friend" at 11. I put on a cute shirt, jeans, and some heels. We go to a little cafe and eat brunch. She is really nice and pretty. She works at Hollister and she's the manager. She is hilarious and I think she might be the one for my brother. I know I'm quick to judge but she is different than any of the other girls my brother has dated. After brunch we go walk around for a little bit but then she has to go to work. My brother walks her to Hollister and I go take some pictures. I take pictures all afternoon and into the night. I decide I should eat so I go get a salad at Speedy's. I haven't heard from anyone but Kate. I decide to call her. I talk to her while I eat. She and her boyfriend went to Carowinds today. I haven't talked to Marisa in a while. She kinda started hanging out with a different group of kids at school and then I haven't seen her since graduation. I'm not sure what is going on but I don't care. I talk to Kate for about half an hour then I call TJ. I have only talked to him once since he left. Which I called him then to. I know he has a lot going on but I thought he would at least call some. He doesn't say much and I can't keep the conversation up so I tell him I have another call and for him to call me tomorrow or whenever. I'm kinda upset that he doesn't want to talk but Im not gonna let it ruin my summer.

I totally zoned out while I was taking pictures and I am miles from Chase's apartment. I decide to get a cab. When I get out I see a huge moving truck. I guess I am getting new neighbors. Chase had said that the apartment across from his had just been sold. There are two apartments on each floor and their are 48 floors. Chase's is on the top. I'm glad because I love being up high and being able to see the city. When I get off the elevator I see that the door to 48B is open. I just notice that there is an open window and there is a breeze blowing the curtain. I step right in the doorway to take a picture because it is simple and cute. I take the picture then as I start to focus my camera for a second shot someone walks right in front of my camera. "Sorry I was just taking a picture of the window. I'll leave." I say quickly. I didn't really look at who it was until I stopped talking. I can't believe that Joshua Ryan Hutcherson is standing right in front of me! "Its cool. As long as your not paparazzi." he says with a laugh. I can't say anything. "Are you ok?" He asks. "Yea. I'm not paparazzi just taking pictures of the city." I say still in shock. "I would love to see them some day." Josh says. "Sure. So are you moving in here?" I ask. "Yea! I am staying here for the summer. I want to take a break from everything." "Cool. Im staying across the hall with my brother. I'm Aubrey, nice to meet you." I say. "I'm Josh but you probably got that already" he says with a laugh. "Yea, I better get going. I'll see you around." I say as I walk to Chase's apartment. "Bye" Josh says.
