She was running with Alexei to get away from Ivan. He wasn’t alone anymore. He had two of his armed guys with him.
They ran on some path, by some village until they entered some forest. It was first time for Eva to see this forest. And it was hard to run through it too. She knew Alexei is still with her and saw him almost falling because of bushes around them. Ivan was there too. And his guys. They were catching up pretty easily and she could expect them to be standing next to her with a gun pointed to her head any minute. She gave Alexei another look and then she threw herself on the floor and rolled down the hill. She was wearing black clothes. Black jeans and a leather jacket and she hoped they will lose her. She was sorry she wasn’t dressed army-style because that would cover her so much better. She started to picture the forest and her black clothes in it. It must be pretty obvious she is there but she had to hope they won’t notice her anyways. She stayed still and started thinking about Alexei. Why was he even helping her? Is he in trouble now? Because they obviously weren’t coming to get her.
