   Madi's P.O.V

My parents just got home a few hours ago, but they went to bed. They've been so busy lately, I never get to see them. Sometimes its nice to get a break though. Endless freedom, the house to myself, no rules. Every kid's dream. Not mine. I miss my parents when they leave.

I sat in my living room watching Toy Story 3. It's one of my favorites. I used to always watch it with Louis and the boys.

I heard a frantic knock at the door. I quickly sat up and put my bowl of popcorn on the coffee table. I stood up and walked to the door. Who could be here this late? I opened the door and saw Marcel who is soaking wet from the rain. He was smiling like a mad man.

"Marcel, What're you doing here? My parents are asleep." I said quietly.

"I have an idea, Madi. A brilliant idea." He said. His teeth chattering from the cold. I let him inside and gave him a towel from the bathroom.

"What's your idea?" I asked sitting down on the couch.

"The X Factor." He blurted out. I was confused. "I should try out for the X factor. They let anyone win. You said yourself I'm an amazing singer. I think I can do it Madi." He said quickly. I sat in shock. What if he enters and wins? He'll become famous and finds someone so much better than me. A model, an actress, another singer... I don't want to lose him.

"I think... it's a great idea Marel." I said softly. His smile grew and he pulled me into a hug.

I walked into school and got glares and whisperes. I ignored them and kept walking. I don't know what these people's problems are. I didn't do anything wrong. Yes, I dumped the Louis tomlinson and now i'm dating "the hottest guy in school", so what? It's none of their business.

I turned the corner and saw the usual girls standing around him. I rolled my eyes and continued to my locker. I twisted the dial until I heard my locker door click open. I felt a small tap on my shoulder. I turned around on my heels to see Grace. She was fighting tears but still held a small smile.

"Hey Madi." She said softly. I looked away from her and didn't say anything. What she said yesterday really hurt. "Um, i'm sorry for everything I said yesterday. None of it was true. Louis and I aren't dating...he asked me to help him make you jealous." That got my attention.

   "What?" I asked in disbelief.

"He still loves you Madi. He really does." I let out a sigh. I'm so tired of all this drama. I can't stand it. "Can we still be friends?" She said just a tear slid down her cheek. I nodded and pulled her into a hug. We've been friends since 8th grade. I'm glad she's still my friend.
