"Earth to Andrew! Andrew? Hey, stop daydreaming for a second!" Maria snapped me out of my daydream by throwing her straw at my face....and successfully getting chocolate milk on me, too.

I blinked a couple of times, to be sure I wasn't still in a daze, and turned my head to look at Maria. Her brown eyes scrutinized me closely as her pink lips were set in a grim line. "What the hell were you looking at? I've been trying to get your undivided attention for like, ten minutes!" I opened my mouth to say something, but before I could, my other friend, actually let me rephrase, my best friend, Cassidy spoke up. "Maria, be quiet and stop whining. Your fifteen but you act like a spoiled little four year old. You seriously need to work on not being so dramatic all the time. Especially work on the shutting up part, too." I had to bite my tongue to hold back the laugh that was building in my throat.

Maria, my wonderful Latino Blood friend, is the drama queen of our little make-shift crew. She's loud and will run her mouth like no tomorrow. Cassidy, on the other hand, is the complete opposite. Cassidy is more quiet and a bookworm. Where ever she goes, she has a book in her hands. Or in her backpack. Cassidy was Russian, and you can tell by her features. She's super pale with those icy blue eyes. But, her hair? This girl was not afraid to be different. For this year her hair is a turquoise. Which, I have to admit, is very pretty on her.

You can basically say we are you typical outcasts.

Maria gasped at Cassidy "You did NOT just say that!" Cassidy responded without even looked over at Maria "Well, sorry. I did." and just like that, Cassidy reached for her Dr. Pepper and took a sip.

Did I fail to mention that they don't get along half the time? Well, now you know.

I looked back at Maria, who wanted my attention, and was now busy staring at Cassidy with a red face and a pissed off look in her eyes. Maria looked like she was about to blow up on Cassidy, But, knowing the wages, Cassidy could kick her butt big time.

This time, Cassidy peered over the top of her book as me, with an eyebrow raised. Clearly not interested in Maria's death stare. "So beloved Andrew, just what were you looking at? " I could feel the heat rising in my face. "Nothing, just nothing." I stuttered. Cassidy studied me for a moment, shrugged, and went back to her book.

Maria jumped up from where she was sitting and slammed her fist on the cafeteria table. "Tell me what you were looking at! Since it's far more important than to listen to my story!" I laughed a bit, in hope to at least get her to calm down. "Maria, it's nothing. Really. So just sit down okay?" Maria glared over at Cassidy, who again, payed no attention, and sat down in the chair next to mine.

"So, Andrew...I was wondering if you and I could go to the movies this weekend." Maria scooted closer to me and batted her heavy eyeliner eyes. I gulped a bit and said. "No, I can't. Sorry...I have plans with Cassidy for this weekend. Maybe next time? " Maria's eyes grew dark, and she looked at me for a minute. "Of course. Sorry to try and ruin your 'plans' for this weekend. Since we never hang out anyways." Maria looked away from me and got up without another word.
