Chapter 5: Movies and Mischief

"See you tonight, I'll meet you at your dorm around six." Rin winks at me with a flirty look on his face.
"Okay." I tell him, trying not to blush.
I know I said I wouldn't let things get in my way of what I'm doing here, but Rin is actually really cute. I can't help but sneak glances at him in class. The way he smiles makes the butterflies in my stomach go wild.
I won't ever tell him how I feel though. I've never been the type of girl boys go after, but being friends with him is nice too.
I get to my dorm and open up my door, Amelia jumps in my arms.
"Hey you." I nuzzle my nose against hers and place her on the bed.
I hook up my phone to my Bluetooth speaker so I can listen to the Death of a Bachelor album while I shower
After I shower, I wrap my hair in a towel as well as my body.
I figure I'd dress myself up for tonight, I didn't consider it a date, but a part of me still wanted to look cute. I pick out a navy blue short dress, black lacey knee high tights and black converse.
I do a black smokey eye with extreme winged eyeliner and blood red lipstick.
I dress in my outfit and I use my wand to curl my hair. My hair is naturally curly but with my wand it looks a lot better. I put a blue headband in my hair to top it off and then I put on a silver heart necklace my grandfather gave me.
I take a look at myself in the mirror, I think I look okay.
I hear a knock at the door.
My heart starts beating a little fast. I don't know why I'm nervous all of a sudden.
I open the door and smile at Rin."Hey." I tell him shyly.
His eyes are wide. "Woah."
"What?" Oh God, maybe I look stupid. "Too much?" I motion to my outfit.
"Huh? Oh, no! No, not at all. You just look.... different." He rubs the back of his head, smiling.
"Oh." I look down in disappointment.
He puts a hand on my shoulder causing me to look up. "A good kind of different."
I blush. "Thanks."
"Are you ready to go?" He asks.
"Yep." I walk beside him down to the lobby where Ryuji, Shiemi, Shima and Kamiki are waiting for us.
Ryuji's eyes are wide. "You look hot." He says bluntly.
"Oh..uhm thanks." I say awkwardly.
Kamiki nudges his arm aggressively. "You're making her uncomfortable."
Shiemi gives me a hug. "You look very pretty." She tells me in a soft voice.
"You do too." I hug her back. Shiemi is so sweet, I honestly am really happy she approached me that day on the grass.
Rin smiles at us. "We'd better get going if we want to make it in time."
I nod and walk beside Rin to the movie theatre.
Ryuji speaks up as soon as we walk in. "How about you girls go save us a seat and we'll get the snacks?"
"Good idea." Shiemi grins.
We go to the theatre and Kamiki sits on the right of me, Shiemi sitting on the other side of her.
"So what's going on with you and Rin?" Kamiki asks.
"What do you mean? We're just hanging out." I tell her.
She raises an eyebrow. "So you two don't like each other?"
I laugh uncomfortably. "What? No. I mean I don't think so..."
She laughs too. "You two totally have the hots for each other."
I was about to argue, but the boys were back with snacks and drinks.
Rin approaches me with a huge bucket of popcorn and two sodas.
He hands me one.
"Thanks, Rin. You didn't have to get me anything."
"I wanted to though." He winks at me.
I wish he'd stop making me blush. I'm going to embarrass myself.
We sit munching on popcorn for about five minutes when the movie starts.
We decided to watch a horror movie about a clown, which I'm terrified of.
I kept my cool the whole time though. I though Ryuji was the one who was going to pee his pants. Rin and I just laughed.
The movie ended and we started walking back to the academy.
"That movie was scary." Shiemi admitted.
"Psh. It wasn't that scary." Ryuji says acting tough, which makes everyone laugh.
"What's so damn funny?" He asks in an angry tone.
"We all saw you jump whenever the clown popped up." Shima teases him, Ryuji just rolls his eyes.
We arrive at the academy and everyone heads up to their dorms.
Rin walks me to mine.
"How'd you like the movie?" He asks. "You didn't seem scared at all." He giggles a bit.
"I'm pretty brave I guess." I joke.
He laughs. "I'd say so."
I smile opening up my dorm.
"Hey uhmmm...." Rin looks down and scuffs his feet a bit. "Do you like video games?"
"Yeah, I do. I actually brought my wii from home."
"Really?" He asks.
"Yeah..." I pause for a second, debating on whether I should invite him in. I decide to go for it. "Do you want to play some Mario Kart?"
"Yeah! Let's do it!" He comes in.
I lay a blanket on the floor for us to sit on while we play, while Rin sets up the wii.
He hands me a remote and sets the game up.
As it loads, he leans in and whispers in my ear, "do you want to make it interesting?" I turn around and see him smirking.
I feel goosebumps all over me. "You mean like a bet?" I ask.
"Mhm."
"Sure." I shrug my shoulders.
He wraps an arm around me and pulls me in close, our faces only centimeters apart. I could feel his warm breath against my face.
"Rin.." I let out.
He smiles. "If I win..you..." He puts a finger to my lips, "have to kiss me."
I feel my cheeks flush red. "What if you win?"
He smirks and licks his lips. "Then I get to kiss you."
I feel my body shake a bit, what is he doing to me?
"Deal?" He asks.
"D-deal." I stutter out.
We start playing. I beat him in the first race.
"Looks like someone's going to be kissing me." I tease.
"We'll see." He winks.
We played through a whole tournament and Rin beat me.
"That's what you get for being cocky." He teases.
"Yeah, yeah." I roll my eyes.
I get up and sit on the bed.
"Where do you think you're going?" He asks.
"Sleep." I joke, I was hoping he'd forget about the kiss, not because I didn't want to kiss him, but because I was nervous to kiss him.
"Oh, no you don't." Rin sits beside me. "Not without my reward."
I breathe in and out trying to calm myself. I turn toward Rin, his blue eyes, mesmerizing.
I lean in awkwardly and plant a soft kiss on his lips.
I felt my heart jump when our lips connected, so I kissed him again, this time a little harder and he kissed back.
I kissed him again, long and soft, and then I kissed him, gently biting his lower lip, and then I pull back to see Rin with a surprised look on his face.
"I'm sorry." I put my hands in my lap and look down.
Rin holds my chin up to face him. "I'm not." He purs.
Rin lays me down and wraps his warm arms around me and starts kissing me passionately.
His tongue explores my mouth causing me to moan.
He moves to my neck and leaves a long line of kisses down my neck and then nibbles it gently, causing me to moan a bit louder.
"Dear God..." I whisper.
We're interrupted by a knock on my door.
"Rin! Are you in there?" Yukio's voice calls from the outside. "I need you to help me with this laundry."
Rin and I share a soft laugh. "I'll be there in a bit." He calls to Yukio.
He leans down and kisses me one last time before exiting the room. "Bye beautiful." He tells me before he leaves.
I lay in bed, Amelia in my arms.
Why did that feel so right?
