Chapter 11: Falling In Love (Lemon)

*Rin's POV*
I hear Isabella's cries in the distance.
I run in the direction of the Sound and notice her in the ball pit, the debris of the roller coaster falling around her, caused by Amaimon's stupid earth quake. I really hate that guy.
"Hold on!" I call to her.
I rush to the pit and use my flames to destroy the debris.
I notice Isabella shaking with fear in the pit. I frown, feeling awful I couldn't get here sooner.
I wrap her up in my arms and carry her out of the pit.
She holds onto me tightly, still shaking a little bit.
I kiss her repeatedly on the head as I sit on the ground with her, trying to soothe her.
"I'm here. You're okay." I rub her back and feel her relax in my arms.
"Hey!" The ghost calls and I notice he's smiling. "I had so much fun playing with you!" He tells Isabella.
He disappears and I notice her smiling, causing me to smile at her.
She looks up at me and notices my scratches and how beat up I am. "What happened to you?" She asks with concern.
"Don't worry about it. The important thing is that you're safe." I tell her.
She smiles and rests her head on my chest. "You saved me." She says softly.
Yukio and the rest of the class approach.
"Good job, Isabella." Yukio smiles. "Let's go back."
I help her up and we walk back to True Cross together.
I'm so glad she's okay, I'm also glad she didn't see me lose control like I did earlier. I'm so scared I'll accidentally hurt her.. or someone else.
*Isabella POV*
Rin and I walk back to my dorm and he comes in with me.
I go to the bathroom and change into shorts and a t shirt.
I come in and see Rin sitting on the edge of the bed, resting his chin on his fist. He looks like he's in deep thought.
"What is it?" I ask.
He looks up at me, his expression not changing. He pats the spot on the bed next to him. "Come here, sit with me, doll."
I sit next to him. Rin continues to look forward, in deep thought. "I'm scared." He says bluntly.
I rub his back gently. "Of what?"
He rubs his forehead out of frustration. "I got into a bit of a scuffle with my older demon brother today."
"Are you okay?" I ask.
He shakes his head. "I lost control, Isabella. What if I lose control around you? I don't want to accidentally hurt you."
I wrap him in a tight hug, burying my head into the crook of his neck. "You won't. I trust you, Rin."
Rin wraps his arms softly around me. "I'd never forgive myself if I hurt you." I see him tearing up.
"Shhh." I climb onto his lap and rub his back trying to comfort him.
He holds me tight as I look up and kiss him softly.

A female voice replies. "Isabella?"
I'm confused and sit up in bed. "Yes, who's this?" I question.
"I'm a nurse at the hospital. Sweetie, I have some bad news."
"Oh no, is grandfather okay?" I question.
Rin puts a hand on my back, noticing how uneasy I am.
"Honey, your grandfather had a heart attack. He's gone. I'm so sorry."
I let the phone drop out of my hand.
I couldn't speak. I couldn't move.
"Baby?" Rin faces me. "Baby what is it?"
He shakes me a bit. "Talk to me. Please." His voice filled with worry.
He gets his clothes on in a hurry and wraps me in my robe.
He picks me up and carries me to Yukio, not knowing what to do.
I can't believe it. My grandfather died. It's all my fault, I should have been there. I should have helped him. What do I do now?
