Chapter 6- First Day of Love

Zoey's POV
Today was the first day of school, I wasn't excited, more like nervous. My alarm went off, I got up and did my hair, along with my clothes. I heard a knock on my door. It was Mitch.
"You ready to go baby girl?" He asked me. I smiled and hugged him. I nodded at him. He shut my front door to my house, he drove us to school, perfectly on time. I went to my locker which was 206 in the second hall, my first class was next to it too.
Mitch's locker was in the third hall, which was in the 400's. He came along with me to help me with my locker. He looked at his phone to see the time. I kissed his cheek. He kissed me back.
"I gotta head to gym" He said. I gave him one last hug. He walked out of my hall. I went to my first class in which it was Math. I hate Math.

~ Time Skip~

My first class was over, we started snack period. I met up with Mitch again. His face was red. I giggled at him as he looked all sweaty and such.
"You okay big man" I said giggling. Mitch chuckled. "Just a bit sweaty" He replied. As we were about to kiss..
"ZOEY!"
I heard a voice calling my name, I turned around. "LOREN!" I screamed back. Me and Loren were friends ever since kindergarten. She then told me in 8th grade that she was moving which made me sad, but now she's back!
"I THOUGHT YOU MOVED?!" I said. Loren giggled, she looked at lot like me but only with freckles.
"NO! My mom needed to come back for a job interview, and my dad has a company here! SO I'M BACK!" Loren said shouting. We hugged each other.

"Oh Loren, this is my boyfriend Mitch" I said. Mitch waved. Loren and Mitch shook hands. Jerome came by and stared at Loren for a while. Mitch nudged me. We both giggled.

Jerome's POV
Who was she? Who was Zoey's friend? She was beautiful! Forget Zoey, Loren was hotter. She saved my whole school year. Now I can be with Loren instead of Zoey, then Me and Mitch can remain as friends. I'm gonna go talk to her, Don't be stupid now Jerome. I walked up quickly. I stopped and saw Loren up closer. Woah. She's more beautiful up close.
"Uh Hello?" She said asking me. I got out of my thoughts, I saw Mitch and Zoey nudging at each other.
"No guys it's not like that" I said. They both laughed. "Sure it isn't, that's just better for you now, isn't it" Mitch said with his green eyes not facing off me.
I gulped.
"Uh, yeah, Okay, I'm Jerome, and you are?" I said looking toward Loren. She giggled. "Loren, Hi"
Mitch winked at me, I smiled. He smiled back. I guess we were okay. Thank god.

It turns out that Loren was in my culinary class. I guess he liked to cook, wow she's a lot like me. We had a free day, our teacher said we can chop any vegetable we want. I chose Carrots, She chose a plum. She smiled at me. What do I even say.
"So do you like cooking?" I asked her with a smile. She looked back at me.
"Oh yeah, seriously! I have been cooking ever since I was 4". Wow talented. "Cool! That's great" I said nervously.
What are you doing Jerome speak normally.
I watched her as she chopped the plum nice and slow. I chopped my carrots professionally. Loren gasped. She cut herself.
"You okay?" I asked helping her. She was in pain. "Yeah, I'm okay" She said going to the sink.

"Mr.Burbank, I cut myself" Loren said. Mr.Burbank washed her hand, and put a bandage on her finger. She came back to cut more veggies. I don't know why she did. "Uh, you sure you want to keep cutting?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine, it wasn't that bad" She said bravely. She's amazing.

Loren's POV (whaaaa?)

Jerome likes me, I know he does. I kinda liked him too. He's sweet, funny, and protective. He asked me if I was okay when I cut myself, and also asked if I wanted to keep going.
"Yeah, I'm Fine, it wasn't that bad" I said to him. He smiled and focused on his carrots. One bully threw something at Jerome, it was an Onion. We both looked up.
"You got enough carrots there big nose" He said. Jerome looked at the onion crying from it. If he helps me, then I help him.
"Stop being so mean to him, he didn't do anything to you!" I said. The boy's laughed at me. He got off his stool and came over to me.
"What you gonna do about sweetie, you gonna cry too?" He told me. I slapped him. Everyone gasped in the room. Jerome put the onion down and pushed me to protect me.
"Aww is Jerome overprotective or something?" He said. Jerome got mad, and punched him. He's passed out.
Mr. Burnback came back from the bathroom.
"What in the navy is going on" He said. Jerome put his fist down, Mr.Burnback looked at the bully on the floor as Jerome put his fist down.
"Mr.Burnback, let me explain, Me and Jerome were cutting and the bully threw the onion at Jerome, then they started fighting. But I was the one who smacked the bully" I said.

Mr.Burnback looked at me with an angry look at me. I put my head down. "Ms Kim, leave the room now, I will be telling the principal. Go" He said pointing to the door.
I walked out. I saw Jerome shaking his head like I wasn't suppose to do that. But, if I did that for Jerome then I must have loved him. He would do that for me.

I'm In love with Jerome...
