My grandma told me that time and life are bound to each other, it's impossible to separate them. It's like Ying and Yang, the one needs the other one to keep their balance. Unless you find yourself willing to let go of your life.

I didn't know what she meant so I asked her and my grandmother answered: "Go to the grocery shop and buy some rice for me, we ran out." She fooled me again.

It was dark outside, a few lampposts were shining light on my path, however, it didn't help much: I couldn't see anything on my path. There is no one around, but who would be around at this time at this place? Nobody.

I found myself just walking without anything in my mind and looking at the sky which was filled with stars.

Would you see the same stars in cities too? I think I won't get an answer to that question. Time and life, separation, my grandma probably meant that I will never get out of this village, that my life stucks here. Why does she always say this.

The grocery shop wasn't that far. A huge 'G' was shining. I opened the front door and walked over to the rice section. "So you are here again." I heard a familiar voice right behind me.

I turned around and saw Jinwoo standing right behind me. "Oh, hey!" I said smiling. He waved at me. "How have you been?"

"Good. I came here to buy bread." He said pointing to a large bag filled with banquetes which he was holding in his hand. I nodded. "How have you been?"

"Same as always." I answered. "There is nothing going on here so."

He chuckled: "I agree. I was just stating the obvious, I guess." He said while smiling.

"This place is just so boring." I complained about it but stopped right after saying why I am bored. I don't want to annoy him with my opinions.

It was quiet for awhile but he broke our silent. "It's getting late. Shall I bring you home?" He asked me and I slightly nodded.

We were walking to our house. "Hey, I have a question to you, what do you want to be?" I asked him. He is one year older than me. We lived right next to each other before he moved to the other side of our village. 10 minutes walking.

"I'm not sure yet. I guess I'll get stuck here." He said.

"But, you were so good at school! You can be anything you want, you can leave this boring place." I said and he just shook his head.

"I may have brains, but I think I don't wanna leave this place. The city is hectic." He said. Oh yeah he has been to the city a couple of times and told me stories about it.

After few minutes we were at my house. We said our goodbyes and he left. I ended up laying on my bed. The warm blanket was covering my whole body.

This place is so boring, everyone knows each other, there are no pubs or a cinema, the nearest station is an hour walking from here. This place is like a prison. I want to go to a bigger city, where it's filled with people and pubs and restaurants and cars. Like in those amazing movies and stories that Jinwoo told me about. I want to be a boy who lives in the city.

"Nari! Get ready get ready! It's almost time for school!" My little sister shouted while she opened my door. "Nari, please hurry! And oh good! You're not holding your boobs with your hands again." Minseo commented.

Holding my boobs? What is she talking about?

"I'm coming!" I yelled back after she closed my door, still trying getting dressed as fast as possible. This is the first time that I ignored my alarm.

"We are late!" She yelled and ate some bread before leaving.

"Wait! Did she already leave?" I asked my grandmother who was watching TV. She nodded. "I'll be late! This is the first time in my life! I have to go!" I said in a hurry while grabbing bread and made me way out.

"You mean your second." My grandma corrected me.

What does she mean with 'second' this is my first time. I ignored her and ran as fast as possible.
