Colton
I loved her hair, I didn't want to let go. I used to love playing with her hair before, now I do even more. It feels the same but at the same time it's different.
For how she looks, she's eye catching. I didn't want to let anyone see her. It's official, I'm gonna tie her to my bed and lock her in my room. That's good.
Actually never mind, I'm afraid I'll get arrested for that.
"Colton, about that gym you go to" Avery said as our parents were in the kitchen preparing the food for the barbecue. It was the day after Avery cut her hair, a barbecue day which I loved. "Yeah?" I asked. "Can I come with you, I need to stop myself from turning into cleopatra" she said squeezing her non existent tummy. "I'm not even gonna ask what cleopatra is..." I said confused, as she chuckled. "Ok, I guess you can come, not because you need it but it's nice to be healthy and stay fit" I said pulling her closer to me while we sat on the grass in my backyard, she was now leaning against me. "Look at you being a health guru!" She teased.
"It's how I keep these muscles so big and sexy baby" I said grinning, teasing back. It's after I saw her shocked face and red cheeks I realized I just called her baby. Which I've never done before. "Uh- umm-" I stuttered blushing, luckily my mom came outside shouting "food!" I got up pulling Avery with me. "Lets go feed that cleopatra of yours" I said. "Colton!" She shouted trying to be mad but I could see her wanting to laugh. I them remembered cleopatra was Liam's truck.
"Oooh! Liam's truck!" I said. "Well then your no cleopatra." I said. "Thank you" she said strutting past me sassily, and I couldn't keep my eyes off her backside as she did.

My mom and Avery's were talking about lip gloss when Avery's mom said "yeah! I remember the days when you used to wear that lip gloss when you were best friends with Andrew." She said laughing.
"Best friends?" Liam asked confused. But instead of giving an answer all for if the adults went quiet looking at each other weirdly. "Yeah, umm- your dad and I were best friends when we were about your age" she said, but it looked like she was hiding something.
"Yeah but we weren't that friendly" my dad said smirking, getting a shush from my mom. "Not friendly" Liam laughed. "You make it sound like you were friends with benefits or something" he said.
Avery and I laughed at that with Liam, expecting our parents to laugh with us but hey we're silent again. "Wait no..." I said shocked. "Oh my god eww! You guys hooked up as best friends!" Liam shouted looking disgusted. " you should I have stayed quiet" my mom said to my dad.
"Think if it this way, if we didn't hook up you wouldn't have been born" my dad said again. "Oh my gosh, Andrew shut up!" My mom screamed at my dad.
Liam was shocked out if his mind but I found it extremely funny.
I laughed and pointed at Liam. I know, childish. "You were a mistake!" I said. He grumbled and shoved the chicken in his mouth, chewing the chicken. "Now that doesn't mean you weren't a surprise either Colton" my mom said giving up on hiding anything else. Liam then jumped up in his seat "ha!" He said pieces of chicken flying out. "Liam! Don't talk when your chewing food!" My mom scolded him.
He ignored her and instead turned to Avery and I, the chicken in his mouth gone thankfully. "That has me wondering, are you and Avery friends with-"
"No!" Me and Avery shouted at the same time, shaking out heads. "No, were just normal best friends" I said. At that moment I felt like a hypocrite for saying we're normal friends, causing falling for your best friend definitely isn't normal.
"Oh ok" he said smiling at me and continuing to eat. I looked over at Avery and saw disappointment on her face, I didn't know why she felt that but I didn't like it. "I'm fine" she said looking at me and seeing the look I was giving her.
But I knew she wasn't, because as she ate I could see her brows pulled together, her moving her food around in her plate, and gulping from time to time. And knowing Avery that's what she does when she's not feeling okay.
"I bet having a friends to benefit from was fun" Colton said looking down at his food with a frown. "Off course you'd think that" I said. "What's that supposed to mean?" He asked. "Oh nothing, just stating a fact." I said.
"Fact my aśs" he mumbled but my I are t heard him. "Really?" My mom asked, her scolding face present. "Sorry" Liam apologized.
