Oswald's pov

I walked into the house and put my coat  on the rack by the door. I turned to face Edward,

" friend I think you will like it here very much." I stated,

" I have someone for you to meet," I added. Ed smiled,

"I just want to thank you, again, Oswald, for getting me out of that horrid place,"he said straightening his glasses. I put a hand on his shoulder best I could. He was just too tall.

"Now, Ed, how could I ever win this election without my dearest friend by my side. I turned toward the hall and walked deeper into the house.

"(y/n)!" I called. The silence of the house worried me. I walked into the kitchen and found her plate sitting on the table, only a few bites taken out of the eggs and toast. At least she ate, I thought.

"(y/n)! I called again. This time I heard a loud banging from the front hall, like someone knocking over bottles on a shelf. I walked to the door of the front bathroom with Edward trailing behind. I knocked.

"(y/n), dearest, are you in there?" I asked. I could hear the tap running on high.

"Um, yeah, yes, I'm in here. Just a minute."

I looked over at Ed who was now staring at the door quizzically. A minute later (y/n) shuffled out. She was still in her pajamas, but they were now covered with a robe that was wet down the front.

"Hello, love," she said wiping her hands on her pants. I hugged her.

"Hello." She cleared her throat and wiped her hands on her pants again.

"How was your meeting?" she asked, her attention now turning to Edward.

"It went well, Oh and I'd like to meet my friend, Edward."

She looked him up and down and put a hand out to him. He stared down at it without moving. Then he looked up.

"I can be pumped but I'm not a tire, I'm red but not a strawberry, I can be donated but I'm not money, I'm in your body but I am not your heart. What am I?"

I made a move to protest, Always with the riddles, but she looked up calmly and answered. "Blood," she said.

"Correct, there's some on your sleeve. Looks like your back to your old habits, (y/n). I looked between the two as they stared intently at each other. I furrowed my brows, I'm missing something.

Suddenly a smile spread across her face "Ed!" she came forward and hugged him tightly.

"I didn't even recognize you. You look so different!" I stood silently watching this exchange.

"I assume you two know each other." I said finally. She turned to me like I had just happened to appear.

"Yes, Ed and I went to school together. We were friends." She turned back and continued to ramble on and on to Edward, ignoring me.

Something stirred in my stomach; I felt like someone had lit a fire in the pit of my stomach. I stared, watching. The way she looked at him made me want to drag her away, never to see Edward again. I ground my teeth.

"I think," I burst suddenly. They jumped and looked in my direction.

"I think," I said a bit more calmly,

" I should show Ed to his room."

"But I'm not tire-" Edward started.

  "Nonsense!," I cut across him.

"Dinner will be in an hour. You need to wash up," I said. I walked towards the two of them and all but shoved Edward down the hall. Away, Away, Away.
