As soon as Maliec called my name out for combat partners I already knew it was going to be him. My luck had never been great so why would fate suddenley start working in my favour?

"Luna and Nox"

My heart plummeted as my body broke out in a full sweat plauged by fear and nerves. Why? Why?! It was bad enough that I had to deal with Nox's hate filled stares and rare but spiteful words but now I'd been placed in a situation with him where it was perfectly acceptable for him to inflict pain on me? Scared didn't cover how I felt right now. In a state of panic I turned to Phi who was looking at me with a sympathetic look on her face. Serena had already walked of dragging a scared Ignis behind her.

"Phi..." I whispered frightned.

"Don't panic it'll be fine" She smiled softly.

"No it won't!" I whispered loudly "He's going to kill me!"

"Luna! Calm down" She said placing each of her handson my shoulders"You're overreacting!"

She's right I thought to myself. There was no way in hell that with all these people around Nox would be able to hurt me properly. And it wasn't like he wanted me dead he just had a deep hatred for me; that's all.

"You're right" I said taking a deep breath.

"I know" Phi smiled smugly. "Now go say hi to him and when we start open up a can of whoopass on him ok?" She said before trugging over to Frost with a scowl on her face. I'd been here for 2 days it was painfully obvious the two of them had some sort of history, and not the good kind.

"Yea" I smiled slightly before turning around and walking towards Nox who had deep scowl on his face which seemed to be darkening with every step I took. Seeing him only clad in his shorts and trainers it only emphisised how intimidating he looked. His huge 6ft4 loomed over my new 5ft9, his shoulders broad and covered with fine muscle. His shoulders weren't the only place where muscle was present. His chest almost looked like it was chisled out of stone, his arm and leg muscles lethal. Tattoos travelled up his right arm from his wrist to the top of his shoulder, a few on the shoulder of his left arm and scattered across his chest. His glowing blue eyes were cold and covered by a dark shadow. And the best part of it all was this was the person I had to fight; physically.

"Hi" I said quietly when I was in talking distance of Nox.

His hard eyes looked down at me for few seconds before he uncrossed his arms and walked straight by me. I stood there confused as I watched his retreating figure cross the gymnasium. Suddenly he turned around a looked at me with a questioning look on his face.

"Well are you going to come or not?" He asked coldy. I nodded my head slowly before quickly following him to a mat like some sort of puppy. He stood at one end and I stood at the other.

"So, do you know how to fight?" He asked. His voice was strained and dark. Every word was either spat at me or spoken in a tone of voice that made it 100% clear he did not want to be breathing the same air as me let alone talking to me.

"A bit" I responded quietly. There was no point in me mentioning I did in fact know how to fight because I could tell the way the people fought here was completely different.

"Well I'll go easy on you" He said with a sardonic laugh "You'll be defendant I'll be attacker"

"Ok" I said turning around.

Before I could even take a breath to ready myself I felt Nox's arm wrap around my neck in a vice grip cutting off all my air supply. With an un-human force he flipped be backwards, my body turning over and landing with a smack on the mat, completely winded. Pain travelled throughout by body as I groaned sitting up opening my eyes slowly to see a smirking Nox.
