Golden Petals Part 11

(This is just a quick catch up,the next paragraph is the present)I got closer to finishing Sans's fight each time,and I was stuck in a paradox.I have to buy a new shirt with each reset,I throw it under my bed and when I reset it disappears and my money resets.Papyrus still invited me to go to Muffet's,the last time I actually brought the offer forward.Temmie hates that I'm still friendly to Papyrus,even though he's the reason for my deaths in Sans's battles.The flowers on my head resembled a golden flower crown,and it was just one away from being complete.My right arm and hand was covered in flowers,I tried not to use it since it felt like moving a sleeping limb.My left arm was to the elbow with flowers,but I had a feeling the next death would make me blind.Sometimes I spent three days in Snowdin,other times only a few hours. But I wasn't killed by Papyrus again,not directly of course.It was painful to put on a shirt,since it pulled the flowers a bit.And the naked scenario had Temmie looking away and giggling,I had to put on my old shorts and shirt while I got a new shirt,which actually went well with the shorts.I still can't believe that happened,and I'm glad it didn't happen again.

Papyrus sat as usual at his station,but this time he wasn't smoking or staring at the ceiling of the cavern,he was staring at the way I usually came leaning on one arm. 'Hey sweetheart.' Papyrus sighed, 'What's wrong skinny trashbag?' Temmie asked. 'Huh,you actually have a heart?' Papyrus asked, 'In a manner of speaking.You?' Temmie asked. 'Sure,play the skeleton card.' Papyrus said rolling his eyes,somehow. 'Want to...go to Muffet's?' I asked, 'Sure,I don't see why not.' Papyrus said standing up.We started walking there, 'I never did ask,what's with the flowers?When I first met you they were just on your head.' Papyrus asked. 'I don't...know...they just appear.' I answered, 'So,it's not a normal human thing?' Papyrus asked.I shook my head, we walked into Muffet's and sat our normal booth. 'What do you want dearies~?' Muffet asked, 'A spider baguette,and a bottle of honey.' Papyrus said.I'm sure he couldn't tell,but I blinked.He usually orders me spider doughnuts,that was another pattern broken.Muffet walked away, 'So what are you planning on doing?I mean,what are you going to do when you reach the surface?' Papyrus asked.I didn't answer and stared at my hands, 'You don't look like a precious child,a bit too gloomy for that.Did you have a nice family on the surface?' Papyrus asked. 'No family...no friends.' I sighed,Temmie looked empathetic. 'Then why are you trying to go back,this place may be a bit rusty but you could just stay in Snowdin.' Papyrus asked, 'I don't belong...down...here, my...home is...the surface.' I answered.Papyrus stared at me for a few moments,he looked like he was thinking hard. 'Do you think even the worst person can change?Even if they've done unforgivable things?' Papyrus asked, 'Yes...why do you...ask?' I asked.

'No real reason,just wondering.' Papyrus shrugged, 'Now eat quickly,you two are annoying the other customers~!' Muffet scowled putting the baguette and honey down.The other customers did look annoyed,but mostly at Papyrus.Papyrus rolled his eyes and took a gulp of honey,I broke my baguette in half and gave one half to Temmie.
