If The Amnesia Characters Got Amnesia

Ukyo

(Ukyo is laying in the grass, asleep. He wakes up to see the sky and reaches his arm up, hiding the sun's rays.)

Ukyo: Why... why does this place seem so familiar? Yet, it's different...

(A little girl hovers over Ukyo. She has long silver-green hair and her hands are behind her back.)

Mirai: Hey, are you okay mister?

Ukyo: Who are you? Where am I?

Mirai: I am Mirai and you are outside right now. Who are you?

Ukyo: I don't know...

Mirai: You are Ukyo. My boss sent me down to watch over you.

Ukyo: Who is that?

Mirai: (smiles) He is my god. I serve him and help those who need it.

(Ukyo looks at the girl like she is crazy and rubs his head.)

Ukyo: This is a very life like dream... off to sleep again.

(Ukyo shuts his eyes. Mirai yanks him up.)

Mirai: Hey, wait! It isn't a dream I promise you!

Ukyo: Why can't I remember anything?

Mirai: It's because you are special.

Ukyo: YOU AREN'T MAKING ANY SENSE! WHAT DO YOU MEAN!

(Dark Ukyo's side comes out and he attempts to grab the girl by the neck and choke her. However, his hands pass through her body. Ukyo looks at her in shock.)

Ukyo: I- I'm so sorry! I don't know why I--

(Mirai looks at Ukyo with fright.)

Mirai: That wasn't supposed to happen so fast....

Ukyo: What?

(Mirai looks nervous and smiles.)

Mirai: I-it's nothing! Anyway!

Ukyo: Why are you changing the subject?

Mirai: UKYO! LISTEN TO ME!

(Ukyo stands up straight and alert.)

Ukyo: Yes ma'am!

Mirai: Okay, so here's the thing. I came to warn you that-- DUCK!!

Ukyo: What?!

(Mirai runs at Ukyo and pushes him on the ground. A wrecking ball flys through the air, just barely missing Mirai and Ukyo.)

Mirai: Why is it doing this?!

Ukyo: Mirai, what's going on?! I don't know anything!

Mirai: Follow me!

(Mirai grabs Ukyo's hand and runs him quickly down the streets until they come across a maid cafe and enter.)

Girl: Welcome, masters! Shall I show you to your seats?

Ukyo: Have I met you before?

Girl: (nervous smile) I -I don't think so...? I'm sorry

(The girl guides them to a table and hands them a menu before walking off.)

Ukyo: You've been acting weird... whats going on? And how did you know my name?!

Mirai: You're not going to believe me. You're going to call me crazy too, but I'll tell you anyway. This isn't the first time anyway...

Ukyo: After what just happened, I think anything you say would make sense. How did you know that thing was coming?!

Mirai: Shhh! Be quiet Ukyo!

Ukyo: But why?

Mirai: You see that girl over there? The one that served us?

Ukyo: Yes?

Mirai: Well, she looked familiar to you didn't she?

Ukyo: Yes, but she didn't know me. It must have been a mistake.

Mirai: No, you're wrong. You have seen her before! You fell deeply in love with her, so much you made a deal with my god.

Ukyo: What? You aren't making any sense.

Mirai: You made a deal where you would be sent to parallel world's until you finally found one where you both were together.

(Ukyo is in awe, listening to Mirai.)

Mirai: The problem is, there isn't a world where y'all live together. Or a world you both share.

Ukyo: Then--

Mirai: You're forever stuck traveling to new worlds, losing your memories each time. And to add to that, in each world you or her must die so the universe can regain balance.

Ukyo: What?! WHY WOULD I EVER MAKE A DEAL LIKE THAT?! AM I STUCK HERE FOREVER?!

Mirai: Yes, I'm sorry.

Ukyo: I- I don't believe it... I can't believe it!

(Unyo starts to tear up. The girl walks up to the table.)

Girl: Are you ready to order?

(Ukyo looks up at the girl.)

Ukyo: (thinks) Either her or I need to go, if that happens I can move to a better world...

(Ukyo grabs a knife on the table and clenched it in his hand. Mirai see this and grabs Ukyo and drags him out of the restaurant.)

Ukyo: I WANT OUT OF THIS DEAL! I WANT TO LIVE!

Mirai: I can't do anything about it! Look, you still have another 40 minutes until the next attempt!

Ukyo: What do you mean?!

(Ukyo tries to grab Mirai by the shoulders, but fails again. Ukyo is crying.)

Ukyo: Stop me... I don't want to kill her, but I--

(Ukyo drops the knife on the ground and looks at his hands.)

Ukyo: What have I become?

(Ukyo and Mirai walk across the road. Mirai looks back at a clock hanging on the wall outside.)

Mirai: What? Why isn't the time matching up?

(A car speeds down the road towards them.)

Mirai: UKYO!

(Mirai pushes Ukyo out the way of the car and gets run over. Ukyo falls in some grass and looks back at Mirai. There is no blood, no nothing. It's like she wasn't ever there.)

Ukyo: MIRAI!!

(Memories of Ukyo's past lives in other worlds flashes before him.)

Mirai: Hey, are you okay mister?

Mirai: I am Mirai...

Mirai: My god sent me.

Ukyo: These are all memories...? How many times have I god through this and forgotten?

(Ukyo lays down in the grass and sees his legs that had been torn off from the car hit. Ukyo smiles.)

Ukyo: She wasn't fast enough I guess...

(Ukyo closes his eyes and falls asleep.

Ukyo: Why... why does this place seem so familiar? Yet, it's different...

(Ukyo sits up.)

Ukyo: Except now it's different and now I remember everything.

Okay, so this wasn't really much of an amnesia thing, but more of a prologue.  I always wondered, did Ukyo ever have a fairy too? What happened to it? Well, I hope you enjoyed it! ^.^ Orion shall be my next chapter!
