Chapter 10

the dane was currently driving us to this fancy restaurant. What restaurant i do not know.... But seeing as to what he just got me (the golden cross pin) i dont doubt him. "Are ya excited?" i heard the Dane ask excitedly. I glanced over to him and silently nodded "good we're almost there!" "..what type of restaurant is this anyway?" i asked him softly. Mathias didnt really respond until he got to a stop light "oh we're going to a danish restaurant. it cost me a fortune to get the four of us a table but you know its worth it" he winked at me causing a soft blush to dust my cheeks "what's with the wink, idiot?" i mumbled and glanced out the window. There wasn't very much of a response other than a giggle and then silence. The ride was only for about 30 more minutes before i saw him pull into a parking lot and into a parking spot. He turned the car off and got out to open my door. I awkwardly got out and was greeted by a gentle peck on my kiss from the idiot dane. I groaned and was led over to the outside of the relatively fancy looking building  where Berwald and Tino were standing, tino having a bright smile plastered across his face. 

"moi you two! we've been waiting a bit what took you so long?" the finn called out to us "Well we got stuck in a bit of traffic" was Mathias's response as he grabbed my hand tightly "come on, we're already late we were supposed to seat at the table 11 minutes ago" Mathias smiled and grabbed all of our hands to pull us inside the building..only to be greeted by a long ass line... i groaned in irratation and was about to leave but oh i just had to be brought into a tight hug by mathias "norge i know its a long line but please stay.. this is important.. please nor..." he begged softly into my hair. I stayed silent  realizing how fucking short i was compared to him but sighed "fine i'll stay." Tino chuckled and hugged onto berwald tightly "aww theyre so cute.. dont you think ber?" he asked softly against the swedes fancy shirt, the only response was a grunt of agreement and tight arms wrapping around tino. 

About 14 minutes passed until we were at the front of the line "what name are you under.." the lady asked obviously a bit ticked off  "køhler... we're under the name køhler." mathias quickly mumbled before watching the lady flipping through the list of names and times "you're late by 25 minutes.." she groaned "i know i know! we've been waiting in line forever though!" the dane whined annoyingly "we cant let you in you were supposed to be here 25 minutes ago. If you got here sooner we would let you in.." the lady put the list back down and crossed her arms "come on cant you just let us by?!" "mathias drop it we can go somewhere else.." berwald cut in and started to lead tino out the door. I grabbed the idiots hand and pulled him along with me "ill give you how ever much money this place costs back.." the dane only sniffed and nodded being pulled back outside with me "we can reschedule for another day, we're going to head home okay?" berwald took tinos hand and led them back to their own car, i leading mathias back to his car as well. We sat in the car for a bit so mathias could cry a bit and calm down, me being the "nice" person i am i tried to coax him to feel better and once he calmed down he drove me back home. We drove in silence until he pulled into my driveway "dane i want you to stay for a bit.." i mumbled and got out the car, motioning him to follow me inside. 

He parked the car and turned the engine off and immediately followed me, he seemed a bit down still but not as much as he followed me inside my house. I guessed emil was gone as i noticed leons car was gone and he usually left with him. We sat down on the couch and i leaned against him "i should tell you this now.. i dont care how much you fail..i'll still love you no matter what. All that really matters to me at this point is that you tried.." i sighed softly noting a bright smile growing on Mathias's face as he wrapped his arm around me and hugged me close into his side "awww thank you norge! I love you~" he cooed softly and kissed my cheek softly. I only sighed "i love you too...idiot"
