Tianna had been in the Castle for several weeks now. She had grown used to her new life. Everyday was eat, train and sleep, but the moments she spent with the Princess made the days more special. Tianna and Calissia had made a strong bond between each other in the short time they have been friends. Not a moment goes by when Calissia isn't on Tianna's mind. She loved her. She loved the friendship they had. She hadn't had a true friend since Megara, but Meg was more then a friend to her. She loved Meg more then anyone. Tianna would have done anything to make her happy, and she would still do anything for her if it meant she could see Meg smile once more. Their relationship had been joyous before her death and far too swift. They had only been together for 3 weeks before her death, and Tianna still hadn't forgave herself for it. It was her fault. Tianna should have kept her feelings hidden away, only then Meg might have had a chance to live. Tianna tried to hide the memories away but she couldn't. A small part of her wanted a relationship like that with Calissia. But no. No. She couldn't, she didn't want to be responsible for her death because she couldn't control her feelings. She didn't want to love like that again, she wasn't ready to.
Tianna started thinking of the piano in the isolated part of the Caslte. She wanted to play it more then anything. Tianna quickly got out of her bed and left the room without a second thought.
She swiftly made her way to the room where the piano was kept. As Tianna made her way to the room, she saw less and less people around. Good. No one would hear her play, she wouldn't draw attention.
When she got to the storage room, she took in a deep breath before going in. The piano was as beautiful as it was when she first saw it. She went over and sat on the bench and lightly put her hands on the keys but not with enough pressure to make a sound.
Tianna pressed one finger down, then another. She breathed in and out then started to play. She played the song Megara has taught her a long time ago. Tianna poured her heart and soul into the music she played. Tianna had closed her eyes and she felt the joy she once had with Megara. She felt the sense of happiness once again. All she could do was smile. Yet, she started to cry at the memories, she cried at the time when she was happy, wishing she was back in the time. She wasn't happy being at the Assassin's Keep, but she was happy with Meg, and that's all that mattered.
Tianna heard clapping from behind her. She quickly stopped playing and turned round the see the Crown Prince standing in the doorway.
"How long have you been standing there?" She asked in shock.
"I was listening to you." He said with a smile on his face.
"For how long, your highness?"
"Long enough." He walked over to her and sat on the bench next to her, "Long enough for me to know how great you are with music."
Tianna blushed at the compliment.
"Thank you, your highness, but I didn't think anyone comes round here, how did you hear me?" Tianna asked.
"I heard you from my chambers. It was weird, I think I was the only one who heard." He told her, "You play with such passion, with such heartbreak."
"It's not hard when you have lost so much, your Highness." Tianna started to feel very awkward, she could tell the Prince had many questions.
"Please, call me Landen, I get tired of hearing 'your highness' all the time." She stared at her, then the piano, then back to her, "What hurt you so much to play with that much sadness?"
This was the question Tianna was dreading, but for once, she answered truthfully.
"An old lover who died. Who died because of me." She looked into his eyes, "well, more then a lover, someone I was planning on spending my life with. Someone who I would die protecting." She started to tear up, she had never talked out loud to someone about Meg.
"What was his name?" Landen asked.
"Her name was Megara." He looked surprised when she said that, "I'm sorry, your highness, now your going to have to throw me in the dungeon for loving another woman." She said with a forced smile.
"Landen, my name is Landen. And no, I wouldn't do that. It's not my place to tell you who to or who not to love." He reached out and held Tianna's hands, "I'm sorry, Tianna. I'm sorry you had to lose her."
Tianna awkwardly pulled her hands away from his grasp, "Thank you, your high- Landen."
Landen turned to the piano. He pressed several keys down to make a sound. He looked back at Tianna to see her sad eyes. She had tears rolling down her face. She was staring into nothingness.
"Teach me the song you were playing." He told her, "What's the point of having this here if no one plays it." That brought Tianna's attention back.
"If you wish." She put his hand in position on the keys and did the same to her own. She started with the chorus, since knowing that would make the rest of the song easier to play.
They were there for about an hour, going over the song. Tianna felt so many emotions while at the piano, she was disappointed with herself that she was teaching the song she played with her old lover with someone else, but she also enjoyed being able to show someone the song that she had kept to herself for so long.
"It's getting late, I think it's time we gonna go to our chambers." He told her. He stood up from the bench and kissed Tianna's cheek, "I hope to do this again." When he was done talking he walked out and went back to his room.
Tianna slowly got up from the bench, not wanting to leave the piano, but she had to sleep.
Tianna just wanted to carry on playing her music, but she knew she had to get a lot of rest as she had a test the following day. Another test she was dreading.
