"Oh, Jack can you help me carry the flowers?" Liz asked pointing at the flowers on a bucket, Jack stood up and grab the flowers, "There." Liz pointed to the new clean bucket.
Jack put the flowers in the bucket before he looked back at Luke, the younger boy was wandering off with his hands supporting his head and mouth slightly agape.
"Luke." Jack yelled.
"Oh my god, what's with the yelling?" Liz asked with her hands covering her ears.
"Sorry mom," Jack mumbled, he turned to Luke who was rubbing his eyes, "What's up with you dude? You look like a goldfish."
Luke sighed leaning back on the wall, "Maybe I swallowed the goldfish this morning," Luke joked but he got a flat expression from Jack, "But how? I mean, we don't even have a goldfish, and the joke wasn't funny, I know." Luke once again sighed.
"We don't even have the joker in our gene." Jack said in a duh tone.
"Boys, I'm running out of bow ties." Liz said.
"Let me-" Luke said standing up from his seat.
"Oh, no problem honey, I'll buy it myself, you guys better water the flowers, I'll be right back in a few." Liz said, she took her coat from the hanger and put it on, waved a good bye before walking out of the shop.
Luke watched Jack filling the spray bottle with water so he did the same, he was about to close the cap of the bottle when the phone rang.
"Oh, I get it!" Luke said running to the phone, "The Sans florist, how can I help you?" he said through the phone.
"Hi, this is Ashton," Luke smiled at Ashton's voice and waiting for him to continue, "I want to order a bouquet of blue roses, please."
Luke looked over the roses side and he didn't see any blue flowers in there, "I'm sorry to break it to you, Ashton," he smiled when he realized the word 'Ashton' just rolled off his tongue, "We're running out of blue roses, but we have red, black, yellow, and pink."
"I, uh, okay, I choose the black, please." Ashton said.
"Alright, one bouquet of black roses, would you like any notes on the flowers?"
"No, thanks." Ashton said.
"Would you like us to deliver it to your house?" Luke asked.
"No, I'll be taking it at one o'clock." Ashton answered.
Luke took a look at the clock on the wall, seeing it was 11.45 am and he got 2 hours and 15 minutes to kill.
"Okay, thank you for ordering and see you soon." Luke smiled.
"Uh, alright." Ashton said and with that Luke hang up.
Luke walked to the black roses, picking up eight pieces and put them on the wrapping table, wrapping the flowers neatly, lastly he smelt the flowers, "All good." he nodded to himself.
When Liz came back, Luke told her to put a little bow for Ashton's bouquet.
After that he helped other costumers for their needs, minutes later, a girl came to the shop ordering a bouquet of sunflowers.
"Would you like a note for the flowers?" Luke asked.
The girl slyly smirked, Luke didn't know what was on her mind, "Yes."
Luke took a little note behind the counter, grabbing a pen, Luke was really good at handwriting, the only one in the family who had good handwriting was Luke, so when a costumer needed a note, Jack or Liz would call Luke to write it.
"And it says?" Luke asked.
"Your number, Luke." she said with a seductive tone on the 'Luke' part, Luke looked up at her feeling like he wanted to laugh out loud.
"I'm sorry I can't." Luke smiled shaking his head.
"Oh c'mon, are you not interested in me?" she asked, pulling her shirt down so some of her cleavage showed.
"No, I actually-"
Then someone was on the door stepping in, Luke looked at him, seeing it was Ashton, with black nirvana shirt and short khakis, Luke thought Ashton was really cute.
"He like boys, so." Jack said, sliding next to Luke.
Luke's eyes went wide as he snap his head to his brother, "Okay, but do you really have to say that out loud?" Luke whispered through his gritted teeth.
Then Luke turned his head to Ashton, the boy looked like a lost puppy, "I'm going to help him." Luke said, leaving his brother and the girl.
"Hey, Ashton right?" Luke asked making Ashton flinched but nod.
"You're the guy from yesterday," Ashton said making Luke smiled knowing Ashton had remembered him, "I'm sorry I didn't recognized you." Ashton giggled.
And Luke was dead at the moment, he felt like pinching Ashton's cheeks so hard because the sound of his giggle, so he had to stay still for a moment before he gulped and nod, Ashton seem to be thinking about something as he tapped his chin with his finger repeatedly, before his eyes lit up and smile form on his lips, very cute.
"What's your name?" Ashton asked then his eyes travelled to the tag on Luke's black apron, "Oh, Luke."
'why is this boy so cute' Luke thought, "Yes, I'm Luke." Luke nodded.
"Well, Luke you left your flannel on my shoulder yesterday, but I didn't bring it with me now, I don't know you work in here, I mean, I know, but I don't know until today, I didn't see you the last time I came here which is 4 days ago? I don't know, anyway, I'll bring your flannel the next time if I buy any flowers."
And Ashton rambling had to be checked on the list that made Ashton 10 times cuter.
Luke just laughed it off, "Geez, Ashton you don't have to give it back to me, keep it." Luke said as he walked to the wrapping table and gave Ashton his bouquet of flower.
Ashton took it from Luke mumbling a 'Thank you' and Luke nodded his head, "But I have to, I mean it's not mine, it's yours."
"And? It doesn't fit in me anymore, it looks hotter in you."
'What did you just say Luke, you're totally flirting with him and that would freak him out.' he was mentally stabbing himself.
He saw Ashton blush, once again checked, "But I still can't take it from you."
Luke saw the girl from earlier walked pass him, turning her head and winked at him, but Luke shook it off and she continued to walk out of the shop.
"Why?" Luke asked.
"Because you're a stranger." Ashton said, that made a big pang on Luke's chest.
But it wasn't Luke if he didn't make everything right, "We could change the stranger status."
"H-how?" Ashton stuttered.
"You'll be my friend, that way we are not stranger anymore, and you can have my flannel." Luke explained.
"From now?" Ashton asked, an eyebrow raised.
"Yes."
"Okay," Ashton then pressed the home button of his black iPhone 7, Luke was amazed because he only got a black iPhone 5s with cracks on the screen, "I should be going right now."
"Oh, that's alright." Luke said, disappointment was clearly heard from his voice.
Ashton handed him thirty dollars, "Keep the change, Luke."
"Thank you so much, Ash." Luke said.
"Bye friend."
Luke maybe didn't know Ashton walked out of the store with butterflies in his stomach and dimples on his cheeks, it was since the last time someone had called him by his favorite nickname, Ash.
