When the initial shock died down Andrew, being the only one with immediate access to a phone, quickly dialed the police. The sirens quickly blared through the quiet and solemn room. Just like that, everything moved in fast forward.
It was agreed, by parents and police alike, that we were to stay in the police station's small prison until they caught the killer. We scream, yelled, and begged not to be left alone. They did not seem to notice nor care, that we were on our knees begging to be taken home. Adeline was the first to give up. Following her was me, then James, followed by Andrew, and finally Maya. Just like last night my usually black vision showed color.
I was in the middle of a vibrant green field. The wind blew savagely yet, I didn't feel it. opening my eyes further, I saw a body that appeared to have a broken neck. The body appeared to be of some kind of monster. Upon closer inspection I found numerous similarities between the monster, and Maya. It can't be, could it?
I awoke with a quick thrust only to see Maya's body, with a broken neck. Exactly like my dream. I screamed, quickly waking up everyone, even the cops. My friends immediately started screaming as well. The cops looked at us like we were all faking our scream. Did they blame us? I never found out.
The cops told our parents that we were to stay in the police station until kids stopped dying. Andrew looked at them like they were crazy.
"Are you serious? Our friend just died and you want us to stay her like it won't happen again? I don't know who you think we are, but I am the oldest and I am only twenty-one." Andrew yelled. If only the cops listened.
