A powerful yellow glow settled over Stella's eyelids as they fluttered open. She groaned as a pounding echoed through her head. She could feel an arm gripping onto her from behind, settling her closer to him. The other arm laid beneath her neck, leaving only half her head on the pillow. She observed her surroundings before everything came ramming at her like a train.
"Xavier?" She whispered quietly, crooking her neck to look over at him.
His hair was practically all over the place, yet, he looked perfect. If anything, he looked much more handsome with bedhead. A small blush crept to her cheeks as she stared at him. His eyes were closed and his mouth was slightly open. A small snore escaped his lips, causing a chuckle to erupt from her lips. Her breath caught in her throat as he shifted a bit, snuggling her closer to him. Her stomach fluttered.
"Five more minutes," he said huskily as his face became veiled with her pale hair.
"Wake up," she insisted, her heart ready to bounce. She had never really been close to a guy like this, especially sleeping in the same bed as him.
She slowly got up, but an arm rapidly pulled her down, her nose brushing against his as his eyes opened. She felt lost in a maze filled with chocolate, and she couldn't help but feel a little guilty as she watched the pouring innocence in his eyes.
Don't hurt him, Stella.
"I've always wondered what your eyes looked like from up close," he admitted with a chuckle.
"Why? There isn't anything special about them."
"They're unique. Brown and blue are way overrated."
She nodded, grinning from ear to ear. As she was about to thank him, the door opened, exposing a half naked Tyler as he spotted them. Stella could feel her face flush as he approached them. She got up, giving him a small smile as she tried to hide her hot cheeks.
"I was looking all over for you," Tyler said, still smirking as he looked over at Stella.
"What time is it?" Xavier asked casually as he yawned and got up as well.
"Eleven. We're going to be late to your audition if you don't go to the room and get ready quick."
He nodded and ran his fingers through his lovely messy hair as he glared at the smirk that kept edging at Tyler's lips. Xavier quickly stepped out, their hands intertwined as they walked through the halls, Tyler securely behind them. Nobody else was in the hallway.
As they arrived at their destination, he told Tyler to go inside and give them a minute. She couldn't help but feel that his grin had gotten wider as he lifted an eyebrow and nodded, slamming the door behind him as he went inside.
"So you'll be okay while I'm gone? Don't need a place to stay or anything like that? My hotel room-"
"I have a job to do," she said jokingly, "but I'll be fine. I really appreciate it, Xavier."
"Um, so I guess I'll see you later," he said nervously, finally letting go of her hand and running it through his hair once more. She suddenly had a tremendous urge to run her fingers through his most likely silky hair.
A hand waved in front of her, indicating that she had lost herself for a second. She shook her head and looked down. It had been quite a week. She nodded, still looking down for a few seconds, letting her cheeks just barely wear off. He laughed softly as he yanked her towards him, taking her into his arms for a hug. His hands folded against her back, their chests pressed together. She could feel a heart attack developing in her chest. Her heart was beating way too fast. Her breath hitched as his lips pressed against her ear.
