A Cats Meow

Chapter 4

Kat's POV

After waiting for forever I finally made it out of the hospital. The paperwork was crazy and I never wanted to do it again, but being a hero I knew more would come. There always was.

I left and gathered my things careful of my stomach and after about ten minutes I was ready to leave. I quickly left the white hospital and made it outside. The warm fresh air hit my face and I let out a sigh of relief. I got left in the moment and got pulled back into reality when I heard a low growl. It took me a second to realize I hadn't eaten in a while and I was absolutely starving.

I looked around my surroundings and noticed a little cafe that looked nice. I walked over with my stomach yelling at me once again. I peeked into the door and slowly opened it. A few of the waiters and waitresses stopped and looked over with me and with big smiles everyone said "welcome"

A girl who was taller than me, but nearly everyone is, came up holding a menu "How many?" she asked kindly "j-just me" I said a bit shyly. She nodded her head and lead me off to a smaller table meant for two people because of course they didn't have a table for one. I sat down and the girl handed me my menu.

After glancing over the menu multiple times I finally decided on tomato basil soup with a grilled cheese on the side. Just thinking about it made me even hungrier. After a few minutes a boy with shaggy brown hair walked up to me. He had ocean blue eyes and his skin was a creamy caramel color.

He offered a smile "Hello my name is Jack, I'll be you waiter this evening, what can I start you off to drink?" He asked holding his pen and paper "may I have a sweet tea?" I said in more of a question "of course my dear" he jotted down sweet tea on his paper "I will have it right out" Jack smiled and turned on his heel to walk off.

My table was right next to the window so I often found myself watching out the window at the peaceful city. I found it amazing how everyone had their own thoughts, their own destination, their own story. My mind traveled off in random thoughts and daydreams. Although I was quickly interrupted by the brown haired waiter.

"Here is your sweet tea love" he said with a warm smile that made my heart melt a little. I nod "thank you" I said a little more confidently than before and he let out a small chuckle. "Have you decided on the main dish this fine evening?" I glanced over the menu once again but I really knew what I wanted "yes... may I have the tomato basil soup with a grilled cheese" I said pointing on the menu to make sure if I stumbled he would still understand.

He nodded and wrote it down on his paper "Gotcha princess, I'll have it out soon" He said and went off towards the back. I smiled and sipped my tea threw the clear and blue striped straw it came with.

I sat in complete silence aside from the chatter around me. bzz bzz bzz. I reached into my pocket and grabbed my iPhone 6 plus and looked to see an unknown number had texted me. I opened up the message and looked at it 'Hey pretty kitty, miss me?" I sat in confusion for a moment and looked around me a little freaked out.

Jasper's POV

I woke up with a bit of a headache. With a groan I look to see where I was, I was still on my couch with a blanket over my feet and my cat laying on my chest "Hey snickers" I mumble sleepily and the brown cat with caramel patches looked at me and meowed. I reached up and gently pet him as he moved with my touch. After a while the urge to pee took over and I forced my cat off me.

After doing my business I started on my morning routine, even if it was nearly evening. I took a long hot shower that helped with my aching muscles and headache. After contemplating life I got out and wrapped a fluffy white towel around my waist and used a smaller one to dry off my hair and I left it around my neck.

I went to my closet that consisted of mostly blacks and reds. I pulled out a red shirt and black jeans with my red and black tiled vans. I ran a brush threw my hair and styled it a bit. I used my hair dryer and straightener to get it the way I want. I know it seems like a lot of effort and most people think its weird for a guy to do things like this but who could blame me? No one looks as good as me without trying a bit.

I brushed my teeth with my minty tooth paste and finally I was finished. I grabbed my bag and threw it over my shoulder and headed for the door. It was a bit cooler outside today than yesterday but It still felt good. I made a trip around the town in need of some food because somebody didn't go grocery shopping.

I looked around at all the busy restaurants but saw a little cafe. It was small but looked good, my stomach rumbled a bit and decided thats where I would have a feast. I walked by the side of the cafe noticing someone that looked really familiar. A girl with long white hair and those pretty blue eyes. In a matter of seconds it clicked in my head. 'The girl from the hospital' I walked to the door calmly but inside I was so excited to see her again. I couldn't believe it.

When I opened the door which sounded a small bell giving off a soothing ring. A girl that was shorter than me walked up "Hey Jasper" she chirped happily "I'm glad you came by, 1 as usual?" She asked but I brushed her off "Nah, Im here to meet a friend, she's already here" I could see her face twist in confusion and her brain worked hard to comprehend the things I said.

I chuckled and walked past her and over to the table with the white haired girl "Hey pretty kitty" I said with a smile. She jumped and looked at me fear in her eyes which made me tilt my head in confusion "whoa now, Kat calm down, its just me" I said holding my hands up in surrender. I watched as she calmed down and looked down "Sorry, you just scared me" Her voice was quiet and I looked at her a bit worried. "Can I sit with you?" I ask hoping she would say yes or else I would totally look stupid with the girl at the front, I couldn't even remember her name. Oops.
