Kat's POV

After our little food date I was all happy. It wasn't even a date but it still put me in a great mood. I walked down the sidewalk. My first day of school is tomorrow" I said quietly to myself and I headed home. I lived alone because my parents died in a fire when I was little.

I know most would go into foster care but I was smart enough to avoid the unlucky fate. I have actually been able to support myself to buy food and supplies and simple living things. I am living in the house I grew up in.

I unlocked the door and headed inside. I put my bags down at the door figuring I would just put them away later.

I dragged myself to my room and I face planted into my soft bed. Being to lazy to actually get under the covers like a normal human, I just kinda rolled myself up in the top blanket and turned my lamp off.

I felt a wave of sleep crash into me and I was out like a light. I slept all through the night surprisingly without a nightmare.

~ Time Skip Morning ~

I woke up to the loud buzzing of my alarm clock. I grumbled a few words and pushed myself up. After turning off the dreaded alarm I slowly walked to my bathroom. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and looked at myself in the mirror.

My hair was a complete disaster and I had little black bags under my eyes. "oh yeah, I need to change my bandage" I said to myself nearly forgetting about it. I took of my shirt and looked at the bandage that had become loose. I carefully took it off revealing the large stab wound that was held together by little black stitches.

I let out a sigh and grabbed the little "goodie bag" that the hospital gave me. I grabbed one of the many wraps and slowly started to wrap my stomach. When I finally finished I gently taped it down with the little white tape they gave me.

Once I had that covered up I got into my new school uniform. It was a white blouse with a short blue and black plaid skirt with a small matching tie. I looked at myself in the mirror and decided that it probably would be best to try to tame my long tangled mess I call my hair.

After about ten minutes of intense brushing I finally got out all the tangles and my hair was once again straight and silky. I smiled and nodded my head and then moved on to brushing my teeth. "there, nowwwww" I said dragging out now while looking for my small bag of make up. "ah there it is" I said and grabbed the bag.

I don't usually put on make up aside from eyeliner but today was the first day of school, well for me, so I wanted to look a little presentable. I put on some winged eyeliner and mascara then finished up with a light pink lip gloss. I looked at myself in the mirror once again and smiled.

I actually looked pretty nice today. Thats a first. I laughed a little then went to grab my school bag and then headed to the door and took off to school.

Jasper's POV

The note I received last night put me on edge. I barely got any sleep and I kept tossing and turning. Every small noise made me jump. I have never been this jumpy before but knowing that someone knows Im a masked hero is scary. No one is supposed to know. Not even other heroes!

If heroes ever had to meet we would all have to be in our suits with our masks. I heard my alarm go off right next to me and I looked over to the side of me. It was already morning. I didn't get even a minute of sleep last night.

I got out of bed and went to the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror and I looked like an absolute mess. I had dark bags under my eyes and I was so pale, it looks as if I had just seen a ghost or am lying on my death bed.

I decided that showering would help I turned on the hot water and studied my face in the mirror once again. 'What if this is the end of me?' I tried to push away the thoughts 'they know where I live' I stripped off my clothes and got under the boiling hot water.

I let out a small sigh as the water hit my body. I closed my eyes and I could feel my muscles finally start to relax. "damn, how do I fix this?" I ask myself and my phone went off. I glanced at the counter threw the glass door and figured I should probably get out and finish getting ready.

After battling myself inside I finally decided to turn the water off. I opened the glass door and grabbed my fluffy green towel that I tied around my waist. I went to my closet and grabbed my school uniform. I headed back to the bathroom and got dressed.

The uniform fit well, perfect for me. It was a white button down shirt, a black suit, a blue and black plaid tie, and blue and black plaid pants. I usually have to wear black dress shoes but today I wasn't in the mood so I slipped on my black converse. I didn't care if I might have looked stupid but I didn't care at the slightest.

I ran a towel threw wet hair then I brushed threw it. I wonder what this boring day is going to bring me. I laughed at my thoughts and I grabbed my bag that was at my desk. I then proceeded to head out to my car.

I threw my bag in a drove off to school. Yet another day in hell.
