Kat's POV

I was headed home and I couldn't help but to smile at all the friendly things Jasper was doing for me. I really enjoyed being around him. I was caught up in my thoughts and I ended up not realizing where I was going. Instead of turning off on the street towards my home I ended up in the forest.

I glance around and realized I didn't see any street or people talking nearby. I let out a sigh. "Of course me being all caught up with a boy is making me lost. I really need to clear my head." I mutter to myself irritated with my own brain.

I sat down on a log and pulled out my phone. I checked and saw I had a missed call from an unknown number. Figuring why not I tapped the number and my phone buzzed showing it was trying to get threw. I held it up to my ear and waited.

Finally after three rings the person on the other side answered. We were both quiet so I decided to go first. "Hello?" I said in a calm yet sweet voice. "Hello? Valentine? Is this Kat Valentine?" The voice asked. It sounded masculine but I feel like their brain was scattered. "yes that is me" I said with a small smile.

"Very good. I am glad this was the right number." He said more toward himself "Who is this?" I question curiously on who has my number. "E, everyone calls me E" He stated and gave a nod. After a few seconds I realized he couldn't see my nod.

"Oh, I don't believe I know you... What is it you called for?" I ask and looked at my phone, pulling it away from my face. I have been talking to this person for five minutes "Well Mrs. Valentine, I have something very important to tell you." the person on the other line said and I waited "little girls shouldn't go wondering into the woods. It isn't very safe." and with those words I froze.

How did he know where I was. I quickly looked around my surroundings as my heart beat faster. "your right, but why are you telling me this?" I asked in the calmest voice I could manage with my heart beating over a hundred beats per second. "A little birdie told me and I figured I should relay the message. Be safe my dear" He said and the call went dead.

I stood up and shoved the phone in my pocket. 'He is here so no matter what I cant transform or else he would know who I am' I thought to myself and started to walk off in the direction I came. I prayed that no one would be there and I was just going insane.

I kept walking trying to remain clam. I could hear my hear beat in my ears. It was taking over the sound of soft crunching of leaves beneath my feet. I heard a twig snap and I quickly turned my head to the direction I heard the sound.

It seemed like there was nothing there but I knew better. I sped up my walking and over a few minutes I was running. I could hear something running next to me in a little distance. Pain was shooting threw me as I adjusted the stiching in my stomach but I pushed that to the back of my mind. If I could get to the street I should be safe. Keyword, should.

Jaspers POV

I must say today has been one of the better days at school. I felt like it could have gone better but I couldn't complain. I was ecstatic Kat came to our school though. I could have sworn she was younger than me though. I didn't give it much thought. The final bell wrung and I headed to Kat. In theatre we were watching a movie so I went to lay down at the front while she stayed in her seat. I offered smile and she gathered her things.

"Ready to go?" I ask and she nods her head. We walked together to the front of the school. "Thank you for today" she said in a soft voice and I smiled back at her. "My house is this way, so I guess I will see you tomorrow" I realized that this means this is the end of day one. "Oh. I can walk you home if you would like" I offered and she looked a bit hesitant.

She shook her head no "Its ok... you can go ahead and head home. I am fine." She said and I sighed. "Alright. If you say so..." I said but really wanted to go with her. I gave up and didn't want to push my luck so I just waved bye and headed to my house.

The whole way there I had Kat on my mind. I was so excited we were friends now, well now we go to the same school and everything. I thought the other day at the cafe would be the last time. I sat at my house for a while and everything was quiet and boring.

To pass time I figured a walk would help. It was nice outside anyways so it will help me clear my head. I grabbed one of my hoodies in case it was going to get cold as the sun went down and I grabbed my keys. I walked outside closing the door behind me. I pretty much just let my feet wonder and I went on autopilot.

After about thirty minutes I realized that I was in town. I saw ahead of me and the little cafe Kat and I went to was there. A small smile tugged on my lips and I kept moving ahead. I heard a scream in the distance, well it was around a few miles I could tell someone was in trouble.

I slipped away to an old alley way and transformed into my hero state. I then took of to the sky and flew to where I heard the screaming. In no time at all I was already there. Under me was a dense forest and I tilted my head a bit confused. I went down to the ground and looked towards something that made my heart stop.

Kat was running for her life and she was being chased by something. I wasn't too sure what it was but I could tell it was not that friendly. I ran quickly and caught up "come along now" I said picking her up off her feet.

She grabbed onto me tightly and I flew up once again. She was tucked close to my chest. Her face was tucked into my shoulder and her eyes were closed tightly. She looked so helpless. I tightened my grip on her and went over to the town where I once was.

I landed in the alley where I changed into my hero form. "Ka- Miss?" I said correcting myself quickly "are you ok?" I ask and she slowly opened her eyes and she nodded slowly and I smiled. "y-yeah... thank you so much" She chirped out. I could tell she was still freaked out from the series of events and I slowly sat her down but I kept my hands on her hips to make sure she could stand without falling.

"Miss, what were you doing in the forest? You should know the forest isn't a safe place for anyone to go in." I stated forcefully but kindness seeped threw my words. Kat looked at me and quietly says "I was just-"
