A Cats Meow

Chapter 7

Jasper's POV

I ended up at school. I was paranoid, beyond paranoid. Anyone could come and try to kill me at any point in time. I ended up in my classroom and sat down at my normal desk in the back by the window. I let out a sigh and glanced out the window at students entering the building. Thats when I saw her.

Her beautiful white hair sparkled in the morning sunlight and her skin glowed beautifully. I couldn't help but to stair. I didn't know she went to school here. I thought to myself and when she was out of sight I finally snapped out of my daydream. I looked back around the room and watched as students filled up the remainder of the seats.

Finally what seemed like ten minutes the bell finally went off and sounded around the school. Our professor walked threw the door and set his things down on his desk. "Hello everyone, sorry I am late, I was in the office and I was made aware that we are getting a new student today." He said

I groaned knowing that it would probably be one of the peppy popular girls who always come to our class. After a few minutes there was a small knock on the door and slowly it opened. The girl, the one who I saved, walked into the room. Kat cautiously walked over to the teacher and handed him some papers.

"Hello Mrs. Valentine, please, go introduce yourself and write your name in the corner of the board. She nodded and walked over to the dry erase board "Hello everyone, my name is Kat, Kat Valentine. I came from Tokyo japan and can't wait to make new friends" she said while writing her name in the topish right hand corner.

She was too short to go to the top so it was around middle. Our teacher chuckled "alright mrs. Valentine, there is an open seat by Jasper. Jasper please raise your hand." My head shot up and I raised my hand. When she saw me her face lit up and she went over to the open seat next to me.

I looked over and offered a smile which she soon returned. She was so cute. I never realized she was in my grade level and the chance she made it in my class was unreal. "Hey Kat" I waved and she sat down and looked back at me.

"Hey" she greeted back before getting her book out of her bag then setting the bag back on the ground. The teacher once again gained the classes attention "Please welcome Kat to our new school and now with the lesson" The professor finished and the bell sounded. I got up and gathered my things then looked over at Kat.

"Hey did you get your schedule? I can show you to your next class" I offered and she looked over at me once again. "yeah I think I have that" She said and dug threw the pile of papers she had "Here" She handed me her schedule which I quickly looked over. We mostly had the same classes which was great for me.

"alright. We have the next class together and quite a few after. Of course you have girls athletics and I have boys but core classes I think we are together for all of those." I said examining the piece of paper.

After further examination we had first, second, forth, fifth, seventh, and eighth together. Wow we are only apart for two periods. Which is Gym and yearbook. Of course I didn't want to be in yearbook but I didn't mind. I finally snapped out of my daydream when Kat was staring at me with her beautiful bright eyes.

Kat's POV

He was staring off at my paper and I could tell he was deep in thought. I decided to wait for him but it was taking too long and we were probably going to be late for our next class. I snapped at him and clapped my hands but it didn't seem to phase him even the slightest. After a few more seconds he looked back at me.

"ready yet?" I ask him and he shakes his head yes. I grab my bag and we both head out to Physics. When we got there I didn't want to introduce myself once again so I went to the back and sat with Jasper. It was a long lab table that had everything you probably did not want to touch.

The class was rowdy and I was really surprised the didn't manage to knock anything over. Soon the bell wrung signaling that class has started and when the teacher walked into the classroom slowly everyone went to their assigned seats and the teacher cleared his throat.

"Alright, today we will go over dimensional analysis because your chemistry teacher sucked at her job" He grumbled while pulling out some worksheets. "You" he said pointing to a boy sitting in the front of the class. "Pass all of these out." He said and the boy nodded and began to pass them out to all the teenagers to the class.

Once he reached our table he sat two down and just kept moving on. I took the paper and looked over it. I realized I didn't know what any of this means. I glanced over at Jasper and he was working away.

"This is all review so you can work in pairs and this is due tomorrow when you walk in." He said and Jasper looked at me with a smile "wanna be my partner?" I nod my head and shared a small smile "U-um actually, I don't know how to do any of this" I mumbled and he looked at me a bit surprised.

"Oh- Uh... Yeah, I can help you" He said trying to piece everything together. Threw out the whole class period he helped me on my paper and I was starting to understand it. He was a really good teacher. The bell wrung once again and all the teenagers busted out the door. I think I was getting a hang of this school thing. I never really went to school before because I have been focusing on my hero job.

The rest of the day went smooth. Jasper showed me to my class and the two we didn't have together he would wait for me after class to show me to my next one. I was pretty estate that he was paying so much attention to me. I felt special.

After school I walked with Jasper out of the school. I reached the gate and stopped. I turned towards him and smiled "Thank you for today" I said "my house is this way, so I guess I will see you tomorrow" I said "Oh. I can walk you home if you would like" He offered but I had to decline. There was no need for him to see my house. Not yet.
