chapter 1: I'm Abrey

  Every world I know are different. But in my world. Is more than different. Its unknown. There are portals. All from this one scientist. He found out ways to get into other people's dimensions. But we hid ours. And my ours a population of 200 people. Earth has a population of 8 billion people. A huge different comparison. The scientists name is dr. karien. That jerk. She tries to figure out everyone who she doesn't know exists. Maybe they don't want to be found. Maybe they don't want to be "discovered" well what makes us different. We have powers. Each family has different powers. There are 5 families in total. Fire, water, ice, and earth. The last one? My family. We control all of those. And another one we have is mind control. So basically were the most powerful people in our world. We all get mixed up though. Fire and ice had a kid and she was water so she had to get adopted. It's so weird. But let me tell you a little bit about my family. We are the kings. And the queens. We rule the dimension. But my dad made a rule we don't use our powers in case the scientist finds us. I agree with that rule. But do I listen? No. I have a underground place where you need a passcode to get into. A place like this is special to me. I practice my powers in my free time. 8 hours a day. Sleep for 6. And learn/ eat for the rest. The only person who knows about this is my twin brother, jacob. We may be twins but we get along a lot. He watches me sometimes. He tries to get as good as me but i'm way stronger. Im probably the strongest ever. But do you want to get to know me? I'm Abrey. A badass girl. The girl with strong powers. And the goodie goodie. My parents say there's not much for me. You do what you want in my dimension. Were all nice. We don't break rules. The only person who ever did is my best friend jay. He is kinda a badass too. Most of us are. My friend group.

Jay: hey! Can we meet up? I need to talk. Like really need to talk.

Me: uhhh... what about. And why can you just call me?

Jay: it's not something i want to talk about on the phone. And it's about us. Can you just... please?

I just say yes and start walking to our meet up place. Did i tell you his power is fire? Well... yeah. I'm getting scared because that last couple of days he hasn't been himself. Im scared its something like he doesn't want to be my friend.

"Hey! Abrey! Whats up?" All I wanted was to tell him I still want to be friends and find out what this is about. "Whats wrong. And if its about the ice cream im sorry." he looked confused. "no it's not about the ic- ok wait calm down. I wanted to tell you... this is hard for me... I uhh... kinda... ugh. I'm in love with you Abrey." I wanted to run. Im 16 i don't need a boyfriend. Especially my best friend. "Jay... I don't think this is a good time right now. With the portal trying to break open..." "oh yeah that's fine I knew it was a bad idea. Don't worry about it. I'll be fine." and that was the last time I talked to my best friend about something lame. After that... it was a blur.
