Part 1

It was the second Friday of the month. Oliver woke up bright and early for some reason. He woke up and got dressed. When he looked in the mirror he had terrible bed head, his acne was bad, and he couldn't find his glasses.

¨Ugh, it's gonna be a bad day¨ Oliver said, rolling his eyes.

Walking out of his bathroom basically blind, he turned on the light and grabbed his phone to look at the time.

On his phone, he saw that Jane had said,¨Goodnight.¨ Normally, she wouldn't really say goodnight to him. But, she did and in that moment he got an utter rush of joy. He didn't care that his acne was back, or that he had terrible bed head, or that he basically could hardly see. She gave him joy. She was the reason for his happiness.

Oliver grabbed his shirt and shoes and headed downstairs. The sun wasn't up yet because he normally woke up really early. Oliver, filled with joy, was making his breakfast and lunch. He constantly would look at the time, hoping he could leave for school but it was just too early. He thought about walking around with her during lunch, just talking. He thought about spending time with her on the weekend. Maybe they'd go to the movies, maybe to the park. Anything, as long as he was with her.

He finished making his lunch and began to cook breakfast. He decided to turn on the t.v and watch the news.

¨Hi. I'm Rona Barrett, and this is Bay Area News at 6,¨ the news reporter said.

¨On this day in History, Captain 'Sully' Sullenberger landed US Airways flight 1549 on the Hudson River,¨ said the news reporter.

¨In other news, in the Bay Area, many florists have received new shipments of the new black roses, more on this story at 8,¨ The news reporter said.

Time passed and it was time for Oliver to go to school. He got in the car and turned on the defrost for his windows. It was about 7:00 am. He decided to text Jane.

¨Good morning,¨ Oliver typed.

Jane normally woke up around seven or so. He started his car and drove off.

Oliver got on the freeway, doing about 75mph because there was no traffic. The sun was out, there was not a single cloud in the sky. Oliver could tell it was going to be a good day. On the freeway, there was a minivan with a bumper sticker saying,¨Today, is a good day.¨ So many signs were telling Oliver that this particular Friday was going to be an amazing day. A day, that would probably change his life...
