Chapter 6

   I immediately jumped out of my hospital bed. "Where is he?"
   "Zo..." Aurox says.
   "Where is he?!" I yell.
   "Down the hall to the right."
   I start running till I see Stark in a bed, looking as if he is asleep.
  I sit at his bedside and grab his hand softly. "Stark..." I whisper and let the tears fall.
  I don't know how long I cried for but I know it had to of been hours. I faintly remember Aurox telling everyone not to disturb me. Stark still does not move.
   By the time I leave,  the sun is up and almost everyone on Campus is asleep. Aurox is waiting for me outside the Infirmiry. 
   He hands me a tissue and I blow the snot from my nose.  I know I looked gross and snotty and all poofy eyed and I'm sure my hair was a mess,  but Aurox was looking at me like I was the most beautiful  girl he ever saw.
   "I'm sorry I called you Heath." I blurt out. "Its just that my soul recognizes his..."
   "It's okay,  Zo. I'm not Heath though, I still don't even really know who he was,  other than your lover and consort. But I am Aurox, I have overcome my own battles. But I feel his soul too, it's the part of me that loves you."
   "Please don't do this..." I tell him. "I can't do that to Stark."
   "You loved them both before. You are a High Priestess, you can be with more than one person!" Then do does something that reminds me so much of Heath,  he cuts his arms with his nail.
   "Heath's blood runs threw my veins." He says more softly now. "I know you can smell it."
    And I could. To any other Vamp he might smell wrong,  but to me,  behind that smell,  I smell Heath's blood. The first human blood I ever tasted.
   "It's okay Zo,  I know you want to,  it's okay. "
  And I almost do. I almost loose all control. But instead, I turn around and run.

   I didn't know where else to go or who else to turn to so I find Stevie Rae.
   "Z, what's wrong?" She asks, obviously she can tell I have been crying. "Is Stark still stable?"
   "He is. I want to cast a circle to try and help him wakeup. Aurox tried getting me to drink from him."
  Her eyes go big. "Did you?"
   I roll my eyes at her. "No, of course not. I said tried. I ran straight here..."
   "I'm sorry Z, but his blood doesn't even smell right."
   "Neither does your boyfriends." I snap, than take a deep breath. "I'm sorry, just under that rusty smell, I could smell Heaths blood."
   "That is not good, you have to stay away from him."
   "Definitely." I agree. "Let Damien, Eric, and Shaunee know to be ready to cast a circle. We will meet in one hour."
   I leave her office, heading towards Nyxs Temple when I run into Aurox again.
   "Leave me alone!" I tell him, walking faster.
   "Zo, wait!" He calls after me.
   "Stop calling me that!"
   "But you were right!"
   I turn and face him with my hands on my hips. "About what?"
   "About me being Heath. I think I'm getting his memories."
