Just a poor boy,
With nowhere to go,
and nothing to show.
With dark hair,
and dark eyes,
that can never tell lies.
We found each other
In a jungle of lies,
Twisted like clouds in winter skies.
That day among the pages
You never seemed so true,
I never even knew I'd miss you.
We parted naïvely
And without elegance,
And worst of all,
without a second glance.
