Inertia. Half the population has no clue what it is, yet it still drags us around curves and resists the speed of life. Inertia tries to pull you in the same direction you were going before you decided to upend your trajectory for a new one. Society has done everything in its power to prevent it. Seatbelts and schools serve the same purpose, to bend inertia to its will. Crushing it between their clammy palms until it resembles a GPA or a car crash. Society demonizes it. But occasionally, inertia finds victory in a derailed train carrying weapons for a corrupt government or a kid who refuses to lose his passion for art.
