AXEL'S POV
“Okay that's the last bus,” I said to my pack, “go ahead inside.” My pack nodded before breaking off and going in their separate directions. Ryder stayed back with me after giving his new mate a kiss on the top of the head and sending her inside. I have to admit, she wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought. Ryder told me that her and her older brother both became rouges when their pack was eliminated by hunters. They were the only two that survived.
“Did you see her go by,” Ryder asked me, referring to Riley. I shook my head and we both walked into the school. Almost immediately I was met by two members of my pack, Chance and Reese.
“Alpha,” they said in unison as they nodded to me.
“We have information about the human girl that we think you'd like to know,” Chance explained. I nodded, giving them my full attention because I wanted to know everything that Riley did.
“When she got off of her bus, she had another scent on her,” Reese told me, “a rouge.” I felt my body tense up as they told me this. My mate had another wolves scent on her? My mate had been with another guy? A rouge even. The thought made me sick.
“Was she marked,” Ryder asked the two. They both shook their heads no. Confusion spread across my face. How had she managed to be with a wolf, especially a rouge, and leave without being marked? It was rare for even a wolf to do that.
“We thought it was suspicious,” Chance said.
“So we wanted you to know,” Reese added. I nodded my head to them so that they knew I understood.
“Thank you, you did a good job,” I praised them. They smiled before walking off. I turned to Ryder and he shared the same expression as me.
