Chapter 16

Jacob

Alice saw that the new borns were coming today.. I rushed Bella up to the mountain with Edward meeting us there. She was in my arms shivering and I smile.

"So how is the little girl doing? Seeming that your best friend is basically running on no sleep. Your boy toy vamp is the reason your in this mess and your sister was taken by a psycho vampire who made an army of new borns to get revenge for the death of her mate..", I say with a chuckle.

Bella rolls her eyes and looks ahead. "I'm not sure.. I'm still completely in love with Edward. I still love you like my brother and I miss my sister like crazy. I still feel guilty for not being able to stop the guy from stealing her. I'm sorry for not saving your imprint, Jake.", she says and I feel her sadness.

I hug her closer to me and she snuggles into me, keeping herself warm. "I forgive you, Bells. It's okay. I miss and love her. You couldn't have done anything.. A vampire versus a human.. Not going to end well..", I say and she nods.

"What if she's dead..?", Bella asks and I stop.

My heart stopped and my mouth went dry. Tears sprang to my eyes and I never thought about it.. What if she is dead.. What if her voice was just a hillucination?

"She's not dead..", I growl becoming angry. I start running and I run without stopping until we get o the camp. I drop her onto her feet and walk backwards then stop.

By then I was shaking with anger about to change. "She isn't dead! You hear me! Octavia isn't dead! She isn't weak..", I yell then I just drop onto my knees. Tears running down my cheeks as my body wracks with my sobs and cries..

Maybe she is dead.. There has been no sign of her.. No word about being alive.. She has been gone for four months now.. If she is dead, then that must be why I am so weak..

"I'm sorry, Jake.. I should have known that was going to hurt you.. I wish I could take it back.. I'm so sorry about what I said Jake.. Please forgive me..", Bella says hugging me.

I shake against her and Edward walks up. "Alice said that they are getting close.. Really close.. Jacob, you should probably go..", he says and I take the chance to run and change. I couldn't help but not pay attention.. All I can focus on is her beautiful face.

Octavia

We are super close. I can see everything that is familiar to me. Victoria is ahead. She wants to run up to the mountain to kill Bella but little does she know that I will be there to protect her before she can lay a finger on her.

We reach the open area and I see the Cullens running toward the newborns. The other seven and I stay at the back watching for the wolves. They quickly run in killing as many as possible.

I look over to Darriian and he nods his head. He looks to Edna who was standing right beside her husband and she nudges him. He closes his eyes and concentrates and mumbles a few words I couldn't understand.

He opens his eyes and looks at Darriian. "They are on top of the mountain. Victoria is moving fast so she needs to hurry."

Darriian nods and holds Caroline's hand. "Okay, Caroline, you need to imagine us on that mountain.. Give her the image so she can visualize it.. Now you need to see all eight of us there.. Concentrate my love..", he says and presses a kiss to her forehead.

I slightly gasp. I always thought that Darriian was always flirting with me.. But everything makes sense now.. Why Darriian didn't help pick out clothes, or why he came to tell me that we were leaving.. He is Caroline's lover..

Next thing I know is that I'm on the mountain and I see a brown haired man with Bella holding her hand.

"Jacob made it to the fight safely..", he says then looks up. He shows his teeth and shoves Bella behind him. He doesn't see our face from the hoods being down.
