It was a normal morning in the asylum. Everyone ate, then went out in the courtyard, since it was Wednesday. It was cold today so everyone pretty much just stayed huddled together. Sawtooth, One Eye, and Three Finger hung out in the darkest corner away from everyone else. They never joined in on activities, and no one bothered to talk to them, since they couldn't talk back.
In the corner, the chattered among themselves, mostly about escape. It was awful here. There was so many people here, it was way to crowded and loud. They were use to living with a small group of people in a quiet cabin. They were use to being able to go outside whenever they wanted. Being locked up in the building was taking a toll on them.
Three Finger then snuggled closer to his older brother. It was cold... They were in thin clothes, and it was snowing outside. One Eye was also cold. Sawtooth did his best to warm his brother's up. He was also cold, but he ignored it. He'd often ignore his needs. His brother's were his top priority. He wrapped his arms around the two and held them close. Soon they'd go in. They just had to stick it out a little longer...
Half an hour later, they were all brought in for lunch. The food wasn't great... Pretty much just random scraps thrown together. And they weren't given much to eat. Sawtooth never ate. He split his portions with his brother's. He was so use to not eating, hunger was never an issue. He ignored his growling stomach. His brother's needed to be fed. Every once and a while, Three Finger would force him to have food. It wasn't good for a kid his size to not eat. His was skinny. Sawtooth only ate small bites of the food that was pretty much forced down his throat. He didn't want to anger his baby brother.
After lunch, they were all put back in the cells. Sawtooth laid on the lower bed, his arm over his eyes as he tried to sleep. One Eye and Three Finger sat in the upper bunk they shared, but didn't sleep. They were kids, full of energy! They didn't wanna sleep yet! They'd play wrestle, shaking the whole bunk and keeping Sawtooth up. He only got up when one of them was pushed off the top. It was Three Finger. Sawtooth jumped up and checked on him, but Three Finger was still in play mode, he wouldn't stay still. Well, he didn't seem to have any serious injuries... Probably just some bruises. Sawtooth scolded them shortly of careful, and play on the floor if they were gonna rough house, then laid back in bed. Trying to sleep.
