Julia Wright
I was running late to pick up Logan from school. Typical me always losing track of time. No matter what it is I'm most likely going to be late for it.
I strap Luna in her car seat. Before hopping in the driver's seat and pulling off.
"Luna please don't cry," I say looking in the backseat.
I groan circling the block a couple of times. To calm her down. After about five minutes or so. She fell back asleep.
Lucky I wasn't as late as I thought. School gets out three thirty and it's three forty-two right now so not as late as I thought.
I run up through the school doors. Luna's car seat hitting my sides slightly as I walk.
"I'm here to pick up Logan. Logan Wright." Normally us parents don't have to say the full name but I never saw her before. I'm guessing she is doing the intern program.
"Logan was picked up. Five minutes ago."
"I'm sorry what?"
"His dad picked him up."
Julia calm down. Maybe it was a mistake and there's another logan in his grade.
"His dad it out of town. You sure it's the right one."
She shakes her head looking at the computer screen again. "No, it says Logan Wright was signed out by Sean."
"What the fuck you mean. You signed my son out to some random."
The young lady shakes in her seat. With fear in her eyes. "I-m I'm sorry."
"No, if you were sorry. You would not have made this mistake. For heaven's sake, you're working at a school full of kids under the age of twelve."
"H-he said he called you and that you were already angry and I didn't want you to yell at me like right now I'm sorry."
Okay, Julia calm down. "Look I'm sorry today has just been crazy for me. Who signed him out again."
"Sean his-" She looks back at the screen than me." His dad."
I froze. Starting blatantly at the young girl. Sean could have taken Logan anywhere. I don't know where he lives or if he still with my mom. I didn't say another word. All I did was turn on my heels walking out the school.
