Losing Them

"There were 7 of us guys and 1 girl in our group; Jin, Yoongi, me, Hoseok, Jimin, Taehyung, Jungkook and the girl was named Kathy.

When we heard that the government had collapsed and there were no more rules, we acted like the rebellious young adults we were and began raiding the pawn shops, grocery stores and gun shops. Which is how we have all of these weapons.

We then took Jin's jeep and started strolling around and managed to find this cabin abandoned but in prestine condition. Well it was except for when we went to the upstairs master bathroom and saw a sight that scared us all, especially Kathy. She was a medical student, studying to become a nurse, but she had never seen this sight.

A family, not just murdered but completely mutilated and their dismembered body parts were spread across the walls, floors and everywhere else.

That's when we realised that the government collapsing wasn't just an opportunity for rebellious kids like us to do stupid shit like rob stores and vandalize every thing in sight. We saw that there were people that are crazy and will take the sudden state of anarchy as an opportunity to either gain power or do crazier shit like brutally murder an entire family.

To this day we, even though we cleaned up that room, we don't dare step into it.

After a couple days we forgot about it and our lives kept moving on like normal, well as normal as it could be in anarchy.

Kathy had the great idea to go loot some more pawn shops and maybe go vandalize some ex-government property while we're at it. And that what we did.

The 8 of us squeezed into Jin's small ass vehicle and made our way into town, that was abandoned by now. That was when we should've turned back and gone back to the cabin, but Kathy saw a grocery store ahead of us and suggested we go raid it.

"Totally. I'm hungry anyways" Jin and I think Taehyung agreed. They were always hungry; Jin was and Taehyung ate because "why not?" he'd always say.

On our way there, Hoseok got a little cut while playing with the arrows from the bow and arrows and since Kathy was basically our unofficial official medic she was patching it up. But because the two of them were our spotters, nobody was on the look out for any "enemy vehicles", we called them.

"All done" Kathy joyfully let out when she finished tying the bandage around Hoseok's finger and just in time too because we reached the store that, by the looks of it, still had a decent amount of food in it.

Jungkook, Jimin and I were the chosen ones to go in and get food while the others had fun and spray painted walls, broke car windows, stuff like that.

"Just because we lost rock, paper scissors doesn't mean we should be kept out of all the fun" Jimin said and took out a bottle of spray paint he must have taken from the car. He shook the bottle before painting his name in Korean on the floor.

He then handed the spray can to Jungkook who did the same thing but on a wall instead.

"지민" and "정국" were written out on the super market floor.

"Way to be badass and write your name in an abandoned grocery store" I sarcastically commented but followed in their footsteps and wrote "남준" on another wall.

While we were running around trying to find something other than vegan crap to eat, Jimin yelled for us from across the store. It echoed and scared the living crap out of me to be completely honest. Luckily none of the guys were there to see. I ran over to where Jimin's voice roared from and Jungkook wasn't far behind me.

We asked him why he called but only motioned his head in the direction of some shopping carts, and we all knew what he was thinking.

In record time our little maknae jumped into the cart. I made a little face which basically showed "why do you get to ride first?" written all over it and he must have read my mind or some shit because he then said, "I'm the baby. So that means the baby gets to ride first".
