Robert "Meek" Williams

"Come on girls. You gotta get to the bus.", I said opening the door.

The ran out and I looked over at Nicki's house & saw 2 cars. I was confused but decided to shake it off. I grabbed their hands and we walked to the bus stop.

"Are we going to grandma's this weekend?", Heaven asked.

"I want to see grandma too.", Malaysia said.

"Not grandma Kathy."

"Oh. Okay."

Nevaeh's mom & I agreed that she'll get them every other weekend along with Nevaeh's sister.

"I want to see auntie Na dad."

"I'll see what I can do babygirl."

We stood at the bus stop for 5 minutes and then the bus arrived. I kissed their cheeks and they ran on the bus. Watching the bus drive away, I turned around and saw Nicki with some man walk out the house.

"Aye Nic. Let me talk to you real quick.", I said.

"Who are you?", the man asked.

"I didn't call for you. Stay over there. Come here Nic."

She looked confused and walked over to me.

"Is he why you couldn't come and spend time with the girls last night? I have no problem telling them that you won't be around anymore."

"I'm so sorry Meek. I needed to catch up with him and I totally forgot."

"Aight then I'll forget that you're my neighbor. Easy."

She shook her head fast and grabbed my arm.

"I'll come over tonight. I promise.", she said and I nodded.

"Yeah sure. You promised last night and you didn't show up. I'll see if you keep your promise tonight."

I took her hand off my arm and walked to my car and got in.

Onika "Nicki" Maraj

"Who was that Onika?", Marcus asked.

"A very good friend."

"He looked more than a friend to me."

I rolled my eyes and opened the car door.

"Leave Marcus and don't come back unless I invite you."

"You'll want me. It's happened every time."

I watched him get in his car and drove away then shook my head and drove to Sherika's.

-

"And right when I walk out, Meek turns around and sees Marcus.", I said.

"Wow. Didn't you promise him you were going to spend some time with him and his daughters and you didn't?"

"Yes Sherika. I didn't mean too. I really didn't."
