I snap back from the memory of my separation that was so long ago.  It took time for us to rebuild our relationship, took even longer for me to marry him, but in the end we did make it work.  Of course only one of us was being completely honest.  When I think about it, I do feel cheated. Not just because he literally cheated but because I was left with a damaged memory of my marriage and my entire life with no one to get answers from.  That is a hard pill to swallow, but this is my life.  The only thing I can do is accept my life for what it was, and move forward and see what it can be.

"Alexa, Grab your brothers and come to my room now."

I was yelling down stairs, I needed to talk to all of them before this went any further, my children are the most important things in my life.

"Ok Mom, we coming."

All three of them came up and sprawled across my bed.

"I need to talk to you guys about something, and I need you honest unfiltered opinion."

"First we are having dinner with the family Wednesday night, so Aiden can meet all the relatives, so make sure everyone is home by 7."

"Second, are you guys ok with me going on a date already?"

"Clearly, this isn't directed at me, you know how I feel Mom," Alexa said.

"Look Mom, Alexa is right, its time, it doesn't matter how many days, weeks or months go by, there is no timetable for this.  You are still a young, your only 39, as long as you're happy, I am happy." AJ is always the mature one.

"Well considering I am the new kid, I would say why not, Dad was ok with it, practically demanded you go out and enjoy yourself, so do it.  At the end of the day the last seven years were devoted to him, all he wants is for you to find someone that will be devoted to you and make you happy, so it's a yes from me too."

"So does everyone know that Carter want's to date me, was the only one still clueless?"

All three of them nod there head yes at the same time.

"Mom, have you not noticed the way he looks at you, Carter wants you Mom, I think he is just trying to be respectful because Dad was his friend." Aiden replies.

"Ok well clearly, I am doing something right, because I have two dates this week, I think Jax asked me on a lunch date, and I am having dinner with Cole on Friday."

"Way to go Mom, two dates in one week, ok big pimpin." Alexa clapped her hands with excitement.

The boys didn't even respond, they gave me a hug a left the room, I guess they felt they were no longer needed.

AJ's POV

"Look, Mom has two dates this week, lunch tomorrow and dinner on Friday. I know that you didn't want to push her, but you need to step your game up. These others guys might be good people, but I know you love her, Dad knew too, so you need to get busy, your already in last place."

AJ drops his phone on the bed and shakes his head.  His Mom deserves all the happiness she can hold and he will do everything in his power to see that happen.

I don't know what happened to my morning, but it was 10:30 and I was still in bed. I jumped up when I realized the time, I hate being late for anything, so I hopped in the shower, rubbed myself down with peppermint oil and walked in my closet, I needed to figure out what to wear.

I found a cute black cotton dress, some red accessories, red converse and I was good to go.

Jax lived about 30 minutes outside of the city.  His house was amazing. I pulled into the circle driveway and walked to the door.
