Three months later
Being engaged to Jax was nothing but pure bliss, if this was what being married to him was going to be like, I was more than ready. Our sex life was amazing. I started working out daily just to keep up with him. We had sex almost every night, and sometimes again in the morning, unless he was traveling. He had the stamina of a twenty-year old. Who knew that I would tone my body and have muscles just trying to keep up with my man? I smile whenever I think about it. It's not just about the sex, it's about how much he loves me. I feel it, I see it in everything he does. It's a refreshing feeling. To feel a person love you as much as you love them is amazing, and I am blessed to experience this with him every day.
The wedding plans were underway, a small ceremony a few months away with our family and close friends, then two weeks in Italy for our honeymoon. We were in Jax's office looking over some business things and some wedding things.
I still consulted off and on with Jax getting the company ready for his retirement. We were actually an awesome team. Jules was taking over as CEO, which was perfect, she had enough fire and wit to take on anyone.
The door flew open, and there stood a very beautiful woman, with blond hair and blue eyes, and a very annoyed looking Ellen. I immediately knew who she was, it was Jax's ex, he had told me all about her.
"I'm sorry Mr. Casey, she wouldn't stop when I told her you were busy."
As I went to move from behind his desk, he held my waist tight, he gave me a look that said don't move you are my priority not her.
"Well hello Jax, it's been a long time."
"Claire."
Claire walked over to me and said, "Can you be a dear and get me some tea?"
I looked to my left and looked to my right, clearly this woman was not talking to me.
"Excuse me."
"Aren't you the other PA?"
Before Jax could say anything, I held up my hand to signal that I would handle this. Ellen was still standing in the doorway with a smirk on her face, she wanted to witness this.
"No Claire, I am not the PA, I am the fiancé that wakes up to him every morning. So please watch who you are speaking to before I show you how hood I can really be.
It was obvious that no one had ever spoken to her like that before. I thought about what I said, this wasn't the time or place for this. I am a better woman than that, and if she hadn't left, Jax and I might not be together.
"You know what, let me apologize that was no way for me to behave, actually I should be thanking you, if you hadn't been such a fool, Jax might not have been available to me. So please have a seat, catch up, and talk about old times. Because after all your reminiscing he is coming home to me. Jax baby, I'll come back later so we can have lunch. Toodles."
Jax's POV
Ellen followed right behind Tori, my fiancé was FIRE, and I loved it.
"What do you want Claire?"
"I have been in France all this time but I am back now and I knew the way I left was bad, so I wanted to tell you the truth before you found out from someone else."
"I am happy for you Claire, but what truth?"
"I found out I was pregnant before I left, you know I never wanted kids, I don't really like kids, so I had an abortion and left for France. I knew you would want to keep it, that you would try to make an honest woman out of me so I took your choice. I am so sorry Jax, but I just couldn't do it."
